Discussion about new leagues to the game
So, It seems like to me there will never be a good league to pick up this game with a working client, And people won't even give these new leagues a shot, As soon as they see the thread "Bad league" When they know nothing about it whatsoever.
So really, How do you think this issue could be resolved?
How could Z8games help?

make sure the league is in working order before coming to the community? of course people are going to trash it if it looks like crap and people have nothing else to go off of. first impressions are everything. you give them crap to judge you off of what do you expect? people to think it MIGHT be good?
youre dreaming -

At least they are putting their own time to create some entertainment for this community? There are actually people that are willing to put up with the communities attitude and do something just so people have something to do other then Echo 8 scrims, and create something that people can play for prizes, and show what one another's team can do other then win and loose every day in a certain channel.
I'd give them credit more then disrespect their work, even thought it might NOT be the best, at least it's something. -

I am assisting their project yes, but I am not the main aspect of it such as the forum user, site designer, CFL CEO, etc. I'm mainly doing prizes and such - is that such a big problem? They came to me asking, and for once I thought perhaps something else could show up and engage something other then rage, and a 'fail' league; therefore, I plan to support it. -

I agree. Imo leagues determine their own fate. For example if a league shows up with a sloppy web site, a non-working anti cheat, and bad admins (this is not referring to CFL) then people will think badly of them. On the other hand if they think things through thoroughly and plan out exactly how everything should be before hand and show up with a good web site, good staff, and a good anti cheat, then people will have a good first impression of them and possibly support their league more (For example when esl first came around people had high hopes set and not much to complain about. Iceman was one of the key factors to esl, because he was the man to get things done. Their anti cheat needed some work, but most of the other factors were there). To the people that say "at least they are trying," I some what disagree with you. A bad league will do more damage to the community that it will help. -
all it takes is a few people willing to work together organize a league.

You want proper leagues to pick up this game? make an effort, start a league/tourney up and prove to companies interested that the CF competitive scene is active ect, but then again that's too much work for most of you.
YOU have to hype the game up. -

Leagues fail because people have the " All it takes " attitude that you're showing right now. You are clueless mochronik. Stick to making kebab's for me when I fly to London every 6 months. -
