Rifles , Snipers , SMG , SG , or MG?
Rifles - Very well balance guns. Not too powerful and not too accurate. Not that heavy but not that light.
Snipers - Very powerful and accurate. High in recoil and very heavy.
SMGs - Weak and not as accurate. Very light and has little recoil.
SGs - Powerful yet non accurate. Light but high recoil.
MGs - Powerful and not as accurate as rifles. High on recoil and weight.
Which should i choose?
Snipers - Very powerful and accurate. High in recoil and very heavy.
SMGs - Weak and not as accurate. Very light and has little recoil.
SGs - Powerful yet non accurate. Light but high recoil.
MGs - Powerful and not as accurate as rifles. High on recoil and weight.
Which should i choose?

Rifles can be used effectively in many situations. Also, a rifle can be customized to be able to handle many different tasks meaning that it can take on some of the characteristics of the other gun types that you've listed. The rifle that I would want depends on what kind of a situation I'm in.

Well, rifles are VERY nice guns. Maybe are used for everything. But I prefer to use snipers (being more specific, AMW of course).
It is perfect for a lot of situations, but it's difficult to master it, because of this situation: "Kill or die...". -
Rifles-Balanced for all ranges, does best at medium range.
Snipers- Specialized for Long range well sacrificing Close range.
SMGs- Good for Close range and Medium range, weak at long range.
Shotguns- Specialized for Close range well sacrificing long range.
MGs- Basically heavier rifles that have more ammo at the cost of more recoil.
Pistols- Great at Close and Medium range well having weak Long range ability.
TDM- Mostly Close range and Medium range, a few Long range areas.
SND- Mostly Medium range and Long range.
EM- Close range and Medium range.
FFA- Close range and Medium range.
ESC- mostly Close Range and Medium range.
GM-Mostly Close range and Medium Range.
MM/HM- Close range.
The weapon you choose should be based on what mode you play most.
Rifles are the most balanced at all ranges so most prefer to go with them. -

Well said. -
Basically.
If one plays lots of SND, Gets a Rifle or Sniper.
If one plays lots of TDM, Get a Rifle or SMG.
If one plays lots of FFA, Get a Rifle or SMG.
If one plays lots of GM, Get a Shotgun or SMG.
If one plays lots of ESC, Get a SMG or Shotgun.
If one plays lots of HM/MM, Get a MG.
If one plays lots of ZM, get a SMG or MG.
(ZM requires one to either be able to out run the zombies, or out last the zombies.) -

I disagree with some of those
the minimi is awesome in tdm (MG)
any silenced m4a1 is awesome in GM
SMGs generally suck in GM
in ZM SMGs suck since they do low damage and run out of ammo quickly -

What he said was true in general. Most of what you say is based off of your own opinion.
"minimi is awesome in tdm" depends if you know how to use it. i could say "uzi is awesome in tdm" if you knew how to use it <--althought uzis do generally suck and you could only win if the other player didn't respond at all to the first 4 shots or if you can nail 2 shots to the dome with godlike accuracy...
"any silenced m4a1 is awesome in gm" not true, not false. again: depends how you use it.
"SMGs generally suck in GM" again, not true. if anyone bothered to LISTEN to the ghost breath and learn to pinpoint, GR could win using knives... but you have a point... too many noobs in GM spray their guns while people try to pinpoint, destroying our ear drums...
"in ZM SMGs suck since they do low damage and run out of ammo quickly" again, not true. SMGs allow you to outrun most of the zombies and the fast RoF helps push them back while you run and spray. however, they are rather underpowered and run out of ammo.if you have good team mates, it wouldn't be a problem. also depends on the ZM mode you're playing.
you may be my hero of gun reviews and stats gods but i must disagree with you here -

what i said is based off of stats, didn't really want to have to explain it all but if you insist -.-
the minimi has 100 bullets per clip and generally you won't need that many before you die. It does about the same damage as an ak-47, shoots just as fast, is very accurate, plus there is not much recoil. Minimi is one of the easiest weapons to use in tdm for close range (egypt) and even at long range maps it's not that bad.
consider it a heavier ak-47 with 100 bullets per magazine that takes twice as long to reload (although you can easily get to cover before you want to reload), but it has a different slightly harder to control spray pattern that's pretty tight.
So how is the minimi not good in tdm?

For the most part everything I say when I say things like these are general. Obviously someone that has no idea how to play GM will suck no matter what weapon they use, and by me saying any silenced m4a1 is awesome in GM I was not inferring that complete noobs would just become pro from using it. I was saying that the average GMer that knows how to pinpoint with a silenced will do a lot better than someone else that knows how to pinpoint using almost any SMG since SMGs run out of ammo faster and they're louder aside from the mp5-adv. SMGs also do way less damage.
How many times have you gotten the golden crate on normal while beating the boss using a regular SMG? I'm guessing not many. SMGs do not do 100 dmg per headshot, which means you'll have to headshot the zombies an extra time or so to kill them depending on how much hp they have. rifles and machine guns generally do more damage per second in ZM which is what you need to do well.
There is a strategy where you camp in the corner on specific rounds, that strategy works extremely well if you have 4 people using heavy DPS weapons with a lot of bullets, and you can't do it if even 1 person has a P.O.S. SMG (VATAV would agree with that).
