I'm ACTUALLY chinese. My dad taught me some simple defense moves, and I got interested. Kung Fu is about making peace, and not picking many fights (in my dad's philosophy). I would rather TALK it through, than dislocating your shoulder. -

Born:460 BC ; Died: 370 BC
He believed that all atoms were the basically the same. Properties of substances arose from unique characteristics of their atoms. Depending on the substance they were thought to have different physical properties. For example, they believed water had smooth surfaced atoms.
Did not test his idea through experimental means. It never became a theory but stayed as an idea.
