Ping questions
I started playing this game maybe 2 years ago when I lived in california (ping 100). I moved up north shortly after and my ping became 80. About a year ago, my ping randomly jumps to 110, and has been that ever since. We haven't switched internet providers. Does switching to wireless internet really make a 30 ping difference?

yes..question answered lol -
Depends on which Internet Providers you have. If you're closer to Canada, then your ping will definitely lower. If you say, have an Internet provider like Comcast, then it'll be reduced by practically 80.
I say that because I live in Illinois with 25 ping. Lowest was 17 for me.

tru..i live in kentucky and when i first started cf years ago i was with comcast with a 70 ping..now im with insight broadband 40 meg service and have a average 21 ping<<<depending what server/whos hosting/player count that will make your ping differ as well

Although it probably has some sort of effect, that's actually not the case. Your ping is largely going to depend on how far you are from the game server. For instance, I used to play an old FPS called Delta Force 2 and I knew someone who lived about 5 miles from me and I'd ping 0 in his server and vice versa. I knew another player who lived in Los Angeles which is about 100 miles South of me and I would ping about 10-15 in his server. It all depends on how close your are to your ISP's server, how far they are form the server your wanting to play on, and bandwidth and.... You know. -

Must've been glitched, it's not possible to have anything less than 1 ping, unless no packets are being sent to and from the host. -
Doubt it, because I've had 0 ping in West Coast in CF before.
1 ping is 1ms response time for the packets of information sent and received, which is also rounded to the next highest number. If you had 0 that would mean no time for packets sent and received, not possible.
Even if you connect to yourself on Steam you'll have 1 ping.
Also, CF isn't exactly the best game to bring up when it comes to things glitching.
