Just an idea. So don't troll.
As we wait for Leagues such as wogl / esl to announce of what is going on in the league. The question of when will it start ?
i was thinking about running a mini tourney ; like wogl but ,i was hoping for some input on the community of

I am purely doing this for fun and trying to help teams I guess prepare for wogl or other leagues , so hope it can happen it all based on the community it a community based thing noting personal. it will also give newer team that have been made to see where they at and what they do good and have to improve and something just overall for fun right ? so looking forward to positive stuff.

Single elimination.
AC - Moss is useless. Growler is your best bet. Fraps is too heavy on the resources. I would experiment with Growler, you don't NEED the full screen. Find a suitable box in the middle that captures enough of the gun and in front of the player to see enough of an area, therefore you can capture at a higher rate with a smaller capture area. Require it the whole time. No exceptions.
If there is a dispute, require SPECIFIC round/location/etc. so you can go right to the video where the dispute was called. That's about as best as you can do without a real A/C.
Rule Set - It depends on if you're aiming for completely competitive or want some leeway. Completely competitive, you go with the WOGL/ESL set (GP weapons only, standard characters, etc.). If not, allow more of a Draft rule set with additional weapon variants to a certain extent. -
I support this.
50/50 on the boosting, use growler, and have matches set at Wednesday and Sunday. 1 month of playing to determine who will play in playoffs, and maybe a 10k-20k prize per player for winning? 2nd/3rd place? Maybe get ahold of saidin for some gay sprays/gp etc? XD -

that will be awesome with more help like this it be up asap, i know it discouraging with out an ac but then again this ins't a league its for fun and to see where teams are at. -

Top teams? There is only 1. Deviate. And not many, if you noticed, gets into Deviate -
Why is everyone so against boosting? Please explain. Obviously there are some boosts that should not be allowed. ie: Mexico boost where you can run above the map. But simple boosts should be allowed.
Also apparently there will be boosting @ WCG Grand finals in korea -

I mean, look at CSS, not trying to say I'm amazing at it, but I do play ESEA, and boosting is such a critical part of the game, I fully support it being allowed here. -

But is there a quick way to specify which boosts are legal? I just see if as someone having to find out every boost in every map and choosing whether its legal or not. I also see people finding new boosts and using them then saying ''well we didnt know'' -

There is.
Apply limitations to the amount of people allowed to stack on top of each other to the list, and you're set.1. The spot must not be behind a wall to create a "1-Way Mirror" effect. So you shouldn't be able to see/shoot people when they can't see/shoot you.
2. You must be able to stand up in said spot without encountering damage spots. If you are dodging the damage spots by crouching, it is an illegal spot.
3. You must be able to legitimately gain access to the spot without ever passing through a field of damage spots. Passing through a field on your way to a spot is considered illegal.
4. You must be standing on a visible edge or platform. This means that lucky lagging into an invisible wall is not considered legal. -
ok, here's my idea, it'll be cheap and less time consuming then making and organising a league:
Do a draft with set teams, like the esl cups
1.you show up and ask an admin to be moved into the captains room.
2.lock the room at the alotted time.
3.then a couple admins make password rooms.
4. teams then gather on vent(teams of 5) can get 2 teams for each clan.
5. matchups are made at random and teams play
6. Single elimination because double would take too long
7. done in one night, aim for fast games.
8. have a placing 1st,2nd,3rd for that week, incentive to place in a spot next week
9. Trust me, pride>prizes for majority of teams, everyone likes to win big or small
but that being said, prizes would be great.
10. Trial run without ac, some teams will cheat, can't avoid it. But trial and error is best method. A more suitable method will be found.
Like a draft but you can stack your own teams(no ringers for a team or your dqed, i think is fair. More teams will develop, a boost for cf competitive scene.)
Most important note: This idea is something you can organise untill the organization can attempt to develop a league. 1 day organizing, till you can do seasonal work.
Probably missed key points, but if you came close to placing one week, incentive to place next week, and who ever hits 1st. every week, will give it a king of the hill type scenerio
hopefully on weekends, because people are busy on weekdays
Weekend Tourney -
if you cant have people growler in double digits its not worth your time. with all the cheaters in this game how can you expect to have a tournament thats supposed to represent a players skill?
dont waste your time. your time would be better spent elsewhere. i guarantee you over 50% say they cant run growler in double digit fps rates.
