The government is already trying to make "Examples" out of people that are doing real cyber crimes.
And you can see that's going real well, as sites like the Pirate Bay are still going full stride.
oh well i just thought if one of em get sued by z8 it will teach em a lesson that z8 is starting to get serious about this hackings and make them back off oh well it was a nice try #Request closed or something -

in china, the government can choose which websites it wants to block. They already blocked Google and Facebook. Wouldnt surprise me that they would block the hack sites, because tencent is not only the company featuring crossfire (like z8games does here), but its gigantic with millions of people using their QQ system. -
Well, this is about to change. I saw a boy and his father in court. They were sued for downloading 3 songs - 3000€ = 4110$.There's a reason why the Internet is called the "Wild West."
As long as you're not trying full blown thievery and fraud, you can get away with about anything.

I know they are illegal yet the FBI doing anything about it?... I dont think so they have much better things to be tackling that some random online game hacking that doesnt physically hurt anyone -

all the hack r client site, nothing related with server side.
for things like ZP crate box bugs or gun glitches(like 35 ammo regular version gun) that happens lot in China, n for people who does those hack programs will go to the jailed,some r busted. cuz it's related with there selling properties.
n most hackers in game got nothing to do with those . so there is nothing they can do to the hack sites. .
unless redesign with a whole new coding of the game, move most of Rez files to server side, that way they can stop 1 hit kill, wall shootings.
n there is always an extra option, quit the game, it's a free game anyway. -

Cheating in an FPS game isnt illegal.
Even if they could close them down. The court costs would be immensely high making it redundant to both sides which, in essense, the hack sites can just reopen under a new domain name if their site was seized. -

LOL i love all these people with less then 100 posts, posting one of these every single day it seems, QQing about hacks, Z8 only bans the players, Xtrap detects the hacks, its not z8's fault, if you want less hackers report them here

Hacking in this game without touching Server side(hacking z8games servers) can't be sued, and it's no where close to illegal as getting a Private Server (stealing games code to make your own). -

technically, when youre "hacking" on client side only, youre not doing anything illegal, in any way. until you steal something that has monetary value, its not a worry to any law enforecemtn.
if some idiot wants to sit at his house aon his fat ass and cham the hell out of ghost mode, he is just a noob, but not guilty of anything legally. only z8 can do something about it. -
1 the FBI does not care.
2 it would cost money to sue anyone.
3 yeah, trying to locate and sue people in other nations does not work unless you got issue 2 solved.
4 You should read up US and Canadian law, being as Z8 games is in Canada the laws take into effect, they need to prove they are losing money to the hackers and the hackers are causing issues.
Other company's have sued, and guess what, still got hackers. -

[TL;DR : It's not illegal to hack as long as the client files remain the way they were when you downloaded them. End of Story. Oh, and ToS's have no real legal binding because they are full of BS and holes...(and most people don't even read them anyway. F*** em'.)]
Listen to all the Z8 sheep baaa and waaaaaa.
It's not illegal to modify the memory stored in your RAM, which is exactly what hacks (the legal ones...) do in the first place.
Eg : m16 bullet dmg 22-25 @ chest -> Stored in RAM. Xtrap keeps an eye on that memory.
Hack is injected into game client's access point (lack of proper term) in such a way that xtrap doesn't notice it (because it wasn't told to look there / the method wasn't patched yet) allowing the memory to be changed.
Now the m16 bullet can be changed to do "X" dmg @ all parts of the body...
1) No client code was changed (in the sense that the .exe and any of it's files we're not changed. And even then, doing THAT ALSO is not illegal, although it violates ToS and thus the game company could try to sue for 'damages' [which, btw, there never really is any unless people's computers got infected with something via the game (which is unlikley)...which would violate international laws...therefor THEN it would be illegal]
2) No damage was done to the company (Z8 still makes tons of money, even with the hacking going on...and even if they claimed that the made less because of the hacking, there is no legal president (<-- spelling...?) for going after the cheaters unless the money was stolen or forced the company to shut down...which is never going to be the case.
3) Legal cost : Be real...Z8 and every other F2P game host/company/developer are a bunch of penny pinching noobs...they'd never try to sue anyone, because it would cost them MORE then what they would ever get from WINNING..."no profit, no point."
4) Those 'illegal' private server cases are hit and miss.
a) It's NOT illegal to EMULATE a game server. If you made it with 100% all your code, there is very little them can even HOPE to do...even if they claim that you are stealing customers (which is stupid to say in court, seeing as not a single private server can compare to the company's hosting and/or profits...they'll laugh Z8 straight the f**k into a cell for contempt for even wasting their time...)
On another note : what is truthfully illegal about file sharing? I'd love to hear how you're going to explain how the artists are losing money when their own record labels had been ACTUALLY stealing from them/not paying them for DECADES before the internet was around. Or how downloading a crap F Grade movie and getting rid of it somehow warrants the movie companies to claim they lost a profit when in fact they never deserved the money in the first place....
