black screen when loaing a game

i have same prob,i have been playing cf for well over a year with no probs since this zm patch cant join a game,any game until half way through. i have done everything they suggest from disabling my anti virus,to removing every aspect of the game from my comp and re installing.[tried 11 times from different locations/servers]still same probs.playing a clan war is a joke cant join until round 4 or 5.my clan used to cf every day now 12 of us have same prob,all of us with diff comp at diff spec, so i really don't think that has anything to do with the problem.at the moment the game is unplayable.
I agree. I can't play with this bug, it's too annoying and it's not worth even opening the game knowing that I have to wait an added 2-5 minutes just to play 1 game that for all I know, could be over before I can even start. -

Okay.. So after some decisions, I re-installed Cross Fire with one purpose. Obtaining more data for the MODs so they might be able to better fix the problem. This is what I came up with...

Ok my computer stuff below. So don't say my computer sucks, it's old, but it should load cf in a few seconds like it use to....

Takes 3 minutes minimum on every game, every mode. It use to load ALL games within 6 seconds.... My connection is Internet speed is 3 (connection speed) (my computer = hardwired) so I have 54.5 Connection speed on my computer.
slow ALL TIME OF DAY. normal internet and other games are fast!
help and fix please.

I just upgraded RAM and graphics Card, it loads faster, but it still goes into a black screen. I guess my lag problem is solved, but the black screen still exist there after the ZM Patch. I wouldn't say I'm fully satisfied, it still goes into a black screen and loading time is still extended, just shortened after I upgraded my RAM to 1.4 GB + New Nvidia EN210 Silent. (Old) My fps jumped from an average of 60 to an average of 100 now too. That's a pretty good improvement for such an old motherboard from Gateway.
I mean, Z8 is not gona fix this anyways, since not everyone is having this problem. I mean, we tried telling them and everything already, and they don't do anything. You can say, I've already lost faith/hope for Z8games on this topic now.
PS, how do you guys edit your font size/colors in the forums without having a editing toolbar here? -

There is an editing tool-bar. You can activate it in the User settings.
z8 HAS to fix this issue because it's not something that's normal with the game.. -

Nice to see you upgrade your Ram, now double it and you will not have any more Problems.
I have been telling all of you from the beginning of this fourm, To upgrade your Ram.
Like I said it is something they did in the patch that cause more memory use. But after
all the trolling I got, I will never come here to help anyone again. I have built many
computers, I did test to show you guys that less memory means more problems. But all you
computer experts just had nothing but bad things to say. And like I said, do nothing and wait for Z8 staff to fix it for you....... Nuckelheads... -

Did he not say he still gets black screen though? Naturally upgrading RAM makes the game load faster, doesn't mean it will fix the black screen though. Read the "I just upgraded RAM and graphics Card, it loads faster, but it still goes into a black screen. I guess my lag problem is solved, but the black screen still exist there after the ZM Patch." -

Did you not read all of my post? Did you not see the test that I ran? Look at my test, You will see that my problems start at 2 gigs and less Ram. He just upgrade to 1.4 gb of ram, now if he doubles that he will have no problem at all. If you guys would just take the time to read the post, and understand what you are reading you will get it. I will not post again to people who just cant get what Im saying. Start at the beginning and read the post maybe just maybe you will get it..................... -
I know the problem, its not really about your computer. This is a crossfire bug, all you have to do is click the black screen, after 2-5 secs the game will re-appear and it will start to load or finish loading.
When you join a game the black screen pops up, this makes the game go as background so you can't see its loading. Therefore clicking it will make it "maximize or bring to front" this will then make the game screen appear again and the game will finish loading.
This happen to me like 4 times today, and I never had this problem before at all.
I also started getting this after patch:
This is nothing to do with my computer or graphic card. As you can see the game texture is rendered perfectly except for some parts that show the messed up screen, I will explain again. This doesn't mess up the games textures, I could spin the screen on game and everything was perfect through those 2 cracks. The mini-map is also messed up and showing a different side of view. This might also be part of this bug.
This bug disappears after I re-spawn, switch gun, spectate another player or exiting the game. This screen only appears when I join a game and after finishing loading this happens.
Hope this helps, I'm not 100% sure about the black screen one, if by clicking it will fix it but that's how mine is getting fixed. Also if you don't want to wait I suggest you do it, it lasts about 10-20secs. -

Clicking on the screen did not help at all with the black screen issue for me. It still takes forever to join a game.

This has to be fixed yesterday... I hope you have staff dedicated to take THE WHOLE DAY of work to fix this problem... Because to me, this is only a small number of things that it could be...
If it's a coding issue, finding the odd-coding would take a while but not a week, specially with the simple coding this game has. Not saying that I know how to make codes but if a person in his basement can crack this game and bypass x-trap within a week... That tells me that the code isn't sophisticated.
Also, I work in a IT department and lemme tell ya... When we have a conflict with the network, we got our (place censored word(s) here) done before 2 weeks would go by. Granted, these are different fields but none-the-less, it should not be as hard to fix this 1 problem as it would to fix a server issue. So in other words... I'll give ya 1 more week and if it aint solved by then, well you can expect to not see me and a few of my ZP buying friends in this game. -
Upgrading your computer is crap. I don't know about others but I needed like 5 secs to join a game. First time it's like 10 but, 3th and 4th game take only 5 secs to load and after that i need less then 5 sec to join a game, like 3 secs. Anyway, what I try to say is, what did you guys added to make the loading time go from max. 10 secs up to over a minute?
Is the ZM mode really that bug? Seriously, guys this is crap. You can't tell me that ZM mode made a few more items made the loading time go from 5 secs up to 1 minute. Just think about it, does it make sense to you?ram:2gb
This guy has 2 GB too and the same error, see? Not everyone here with this problem has low ram. So pls don't tell me 2GB is not enough for cf... -

No, it's no. I close EVERYTHING when I run Cross Fire. I don't even have Explorer.exe running (Used to get an error that when I joined a game, the explorer bar would still be at the bottom so I couldn't look at my ammo or HP). So it has nothing to do with that. It's a Cross Fire server issue. -
For the people saying that z8games does not care because "I dont buy zp" your wrong, I was buying zp all the time, but now, I cant even play because of this error, this is my laptop: http://ca.asus.com/en/Notebooks/Gaming_Powerhouse/G51Vx/ I wont be playing or buying zp tell this issue is fixed, and hell, Im still working on a new home computer and this error seems to be with the servers or game. :I

Old thread i know but i cant play cf i updated all my drivers,Got Windows vista 32 bit 1gig of ram Dual core,and my graphics card is fine.It goes to about 10-20% screen turns black then sometimes it loads a game after 5 mins other it just crashes.On my Windows Xp it loads in 10 seconds....But that comp i gave to a friend.
