For a thread to be posted in this section with the sole intention of being used as a place to discuss various topics pertaining to the competitive community without it turning into a place for people to flaunt their ego's/insult others and ultimately getting the thread, which could have possibly turned into a structured discussion that aided in resolving the problem/topic being discussed, closed due to immaturity.

Not from what I've seen. Even legitimate discussions usually end up going in the wrong direction after a few hours. I deleted 93 posts out of the CF Tier System thread that none of you can see, just to keep it on track. That's what this community is like.

Sadly enough this is the face of competitiveness in all games!! A little trash talk is pretty healthy for a game.
Trash talking someone's game is one thing. Trash talking someone's life, family and friends is a completely different story.
Side note: Let's try to keep things on topic please. I would appreciate it. -

That thread had the sole purpose to troll, just like everyone other thread he made. He was insulting mainly my team and Intricate for some reason. Immaturity i believe but i will stay on topic.
Everyone in this community complains about the community, but shows no steps in making it better by just being plain respectful.
EDIT: Not everyone complains, the majority do though. -

it actually wasn't made to troll. just because he didn't list your team as a 2nd tier team doesn't mean he was trolling. evidently, you are one of those people with a big ego who are "killing the cf community" -
