Little guide on the Average joe's gun! (type-89)
Hello Crossfire players, i'm here to bring you guys a little bit of information about i gun that i owned a little while ago, the type-89, a.k.a. the sausage arm gun, a.k.a. the average joe gun.
Firstly, let's take a look at the gun:
Price: 45.000GP
Rank: unlocked at staff sergeant 1
Stats (taken from god's guide)
Type89
~~5 meters~~
Hand/Arm: 27, 27.
Foot/Leg: 18, 19.
Back/Chest: 32, 33.
Headshot: 100.
~~15 meters~~
Hand/Arm: 27, 26.
Foot/Leg: 18, 18.
Back/Chest: 31, 32.
Headshot: 100.
~~30 meters~~
Hand/Arm: 25, 26.
Foot/Leg: 18, 17.
Back/Chest: 30, 31.
Headshot: 97.
Reload Time: 3.4 Seconds
Fire Rate: 11.1 Rounds Per Second (RPS)
Bullets: 30/90
Total Bullets: 120
Full to Empty Clip: 2.7 Seconds
DPS: 281.2
---> So, as you can see, the type-89 is a pretty average rifle, going towards the low power side of the charts (being 33 the average damage for an assault rifle).
To compensate the low stopping power, it has a big RoF, and a fairly low recoil, nothing pre-nerf m4a1-c, but nothing wild like the ak-47.
>Little curiosities/tips
-This gun is one of the few guns that have a full wallbang, so use and abuse of this feature, it will make you have the edge at encounters against M4A1 users, since they do extremely low damage through walls, while yours isn't affected.
-The recoil will be almost always in a large T shape, wider than the M4A1's, but not as high.
-it's not always a one hit kill to the head, so be awarem always hit the enemy twice before moving towards another one.
-Long ass reload, take cover for sure...
> Using it:
-The type-89, as stated before, is a low recoil, low power and high RoF gun, so, it's style is like you would play with an SMG like the K1A, but it has a higher accuracy than these SMG's, allowing you to use it in a wider role than just the "smg guy".
-The SMG style fits the type-89 quite well, but it's weight hinders it a little while running, it's reload get in the way too, so, as you have to take cover while reloading, save up a few bullets to shoot thorugh the cover you're going to hide to reload, this will supress the enemy for a longer time, meaning you'll have more time to reload and relaunch yourself at the battle.
-This weapon presents a very straight spray pattern before the turn to turn into a big T, use that in your advantage, it will give you random headshots all the way.
-Use it almost completely passive towards the situation, but turn agressive when the enemy is using cover, it will tear their cover apart like butter, the high RoF will drop enemies like crazy.
-Use the almost silenced sound it has as your tactical advantage, it will help you, gp only user to drop people without getting noticed.
So, i hope this small tipbook helps you in having fun with this incredibly average gun!
Believe me, people rage when they get killed with this

I knew it had wallbang, but I didn't know it had full wallbang . Are you sure about that?
Not being a 1 hit kill also severly limits this weapon imo, but that is ofc my opinion.
And finally, as far as I am aware, though it may sound more silenced to you, the sound 'carries' around the same distance as any other gun. Not sure how to explain it.
Something like... In the real world, you'd expect a softer sound to come from further away. Not in CF, they probably have defined distances where the sound fades away, so it may not reflect the actual sound made. -

the sound doesnt reach as far, im pretty sure thats been proven as one of the type 89s great features. -

yes, it is a full wallbang gun, adn teh sound does carry over, but it's just a soft whisper, none of those who aren't soundwh*ring like crazy would notice itthe sound doesnt reach as far, im pretty sure thats been proven as one of the type 89s great features.
nop, the sound reach as far, but it's not as loud as the other guns, it's basically a slow reload smg with a silencer and a little more range :] -

someone made a guide about how far guns sounds carry, although i dont think it included the actual volume of them.... as far as i rember the anaconda carrys further, but is quieter than the DE. -

yes, the sound carries over, but it's almost unheardable, because the sound is so low... it looks like a whisper xD -
m4 is 573 times betterrr. I think you deserve a cookie for your effort
i've beaten people using m4a1-c's and m4a1-adv's with this pwetty average joe gun, they never heard what hit their heads... twice...
xD
it's a good gun imo, just underated :] -
I used to win it from GP box and ended up breaking it for GP.
Overall, not a bad gun (free silencer) but I would not make it a "dependable" gun simply because of the reload rate and damage output. Remember everyshot count, an Ak user can put u you down in 3 shot whereas u might need 4 or 5, body shot that is. -

it is more suitable for a tactical rusher role, where you take down people one by one, isolating targets either by baiting them inside somewhere else where your shots cannot be heard or picking them off when the others are unaware, it's going to do magic on SnD pubs where people aren't generally paying attention to their surroundings, but it's going to suffer when you're playing against a decent GM player :x
Generaly speaking, sounds like a bad gun, but it's the best choice for people who cannot afford a m4a1-adv or something with a silencer, just like me, a person who's too lazy to do surveys and too broke to buy zee pee xD -
Certainly not a bad gun for the beginning stage but once u level up there are many better guns to choose from
heheh, i've sticked up with my type-89 until second lieutenant, now i'm using my g36k for the huge DPS at close ranges (it's pratically the biggest you can get for gp only xD)
it compensates my huge latency somewhat xD -

For GP weapons I'd much rather use an m4a1, ak-47 or g36k
you can't hit a moving target twice?
what a nab xD
naaahhh jk, but the type-89 wasn't really made for long ranging :x
try it on smaller maps with lots of crates, like the submarine one :xHitman_XLVII wrote: »Not worth throwing away my m14ebr For XD
yes it is
the m14ebr is ugly as fook and haz no sound dampening liek teh type-89 xD
but really, it is worth the try -

ehehe, for sure :]
what i don't like about the type-89 is it's low DPS, wich kills it on CQC if you join the fight head on against enemies with weapons with higher DPs's, the uzi allows that kind of encounters, because it's lightweight and you can move faster and doges their bullets, making their DPs value decrease.
while the type-89 will take role as a preciser weapon that's used tactically to take down other players one by one flaking them and such :] -

Oh Psh, I burst with my uzi and get medium-range headshots -
-
long range wallshots with the type, something you cannot do with the uzi...
xD
it's such a beasty gun on the right hands
and no one has the right to QQ about it >=D
It stinks though because every time I use it in a pub server there's usually 1 or 2 that RQ the game Q.Q
