M16A2 as a competitive gun.

Unlike all the trolls here, I actually have something to say.
The M16A2 is actually a fairly decent weapon platform. Takes about, 5-7 shots before you get horizontal recoil in the spray pattern, so a good burst from crotch height would kick the recoil into an almost guaranteed head-shot.
It's power is decent, 3-5 shots kill from my experience. One shot head-shot from most ranges that you'd use it at. And it's got some accuracy to back it up also.
Can it compete with the M4 or AK? In a person who has been able to use it, and master it, yes, the M16A2 can rival the M4 and AK. But never, will it surpass them. -

quit trolling .
Players who can master M4/AK will make m16a2 nothing close to a rival. -

not a rival to m4/ak at all. -

You're acting like some 13 year old in the Cross Fire Barracks forum. Why waste your time arguing about a weapon that isn't going to be in competitive anyway? It's a zp gun so it's banned from leagues.
And I bet the next thing you're going to do is call me bad. Save it for in-game so I can roll you accordingly.
Good day. -

As I said, in the hands of a skilled player, the M16A2 can out perform the average M4A1, or AK47 player. In the hands of a skilled player, the M16A2 against a similarly skilled player, will excel to the point of a close rival to the M4A1 and the M16A2.
I've used the M16A2 in every mode, and I've always come out in the top three when I did. Against M4A1 users, and AK47 users.
So again, the M16A2 when used by an able player, can rival the M4A1 and the AK47. -

agreed, however thompson/m12/kriss/veresk will win at close range and awm/dsr at long range. -

Agreed. The M16A2 lacks the RoF to keep up with the SMG's at close range, and lacks the body shot power to keep up with snipers at long range. But at mid range, and close range if there is no SMG, the M16A2 is a competitor. -

at mid range its very hard to kill enemy who have scar light...and its not the best gun for ghost mode... -

We're talking about M16A2 here, being used in a competitive 'world'. You pubstars come in here and disturb our nice conversation, why? Go back to CF Barracks or simply go suggest a gun we will never see in CrossFire, thanks. Take your superb Ghost Mode achievements somewhere else, really. -

what are you saying? I'm saying the gun sucks, that's it. -
Thank you all for your contributions. As there seems to be some confusion as to this threads original intent, I'll clear things up for people.
No, I will not be using the M16A2 in a "competitive" match, nor do I have an opinion on whether or not it should be allowed in competitive play. As stated, me, and probably a few others, are in the dark about this gun. Being only 2300BP, many would think M16A2 is but a mere second-rate gun. What I meant by "M16A2 as a competitive gun" is whether are not it's able to compete with the AK47 or M4, thus making it a competitive gun. -

Actually he was talking about the M16A2 being used competitively against the M4A1 and the AK, not if it could/should be used in WOGL, ESL, or other the rest of the 'competitive world'. You are the arrogant person who assumed he meant could it be used in competitive matchs, IE clan wars/scrims, tourny games, ETC. You should really stop being such an arrogant *****. Me and him were simply talking about what we could do with the gun, and it's effectiveness. You butt in and make a complete ass of yourself.

I'm not sure how I didn't get kicked. Might be that the players all knew I was being legit, might be they just didn't feel like kicking at that moment. -
It's a good gun, useful from tranferring from the M4 to an AK. However, it does have a slow fire rate which is annoying for GM, but it power makes up for it. Recoil is handable, reload is not bad, and accuracy is nearer to the M4, which means you can easily HS with it. HS is one hit kill.
