Most CF players live in the East Coast, except for you and slaya. And some people of instinct.
It's not a demographic thing. There's only THREE (3) locations large enough and capable of handling LAN's of a NATIONAL QUALIFIER in the United States [2011] equipped with the proper accommodations and permits for the national qualifiers in October; Los Angeles, CA - LA Convention Center, New York, NY - Jacob Javits Convention Center & Washington D.C. - Walter Washington Convention Center. Unfortunately, other convention centers have locations booked, and locked up in Miami, Vegas & Dallas. -
Side Note: You MUST remember, WCG ISN'T about Cross Fire. It's actually the lesser of titles. CS, SC2, LoL, WoW, FIFA & Warcraft all come before CF in the eyes of the US e-Sports. CF is just lucky they got 2.15 hrs of WCG's 24 Gaming Event Hours. 2011 National Qualifier games Include: Counter-Strike 1.6, CrossFire, FIFA 2011, League of Legends, Special Force, Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty, Tekken 6, Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. It's going to be a LONG two (2) non stop days of playing.

Well if you could explain for me but might answer some questions for others. Why isn't Chicago considered large enough to hold any LANS? As in any locations in chicago not big enough? -

Chicago's convention centers are basically hotel conference rooms. Places like the LA Convention Center or JJ Center in NY are 5+ Stories, and accommodate 10,000 people by code in one time. Not to mention, Chicago isn't very accommodating as far as lodging and it isn't very 'tourist friendly'. -

I think you're looking too indepth.
I only see two places it being held at.
NY due to ESS having their office located there.. or TX because of obvious reasons(ESEA LAN). -

The LAN Center they use for ESEA Finals in Dallas is EXTREMELY small. Capacity is only 1300 [uncomfortably, but by fire code]; 100 Players + Vendors + 130 WCG/ESSA Staff + Press + Spectators won't fit in that little center. WCG National Finals, if you've EVER been to one it's a mini E3.... -
