Are modded mice against the rules?

mine has next to no recoil, all you have to do is give it commands while you're holding down the mouse button:
pause 2ms
button down
pause 2ms
button up
and then it repeats as long as you're holding down the button. the game doesn't let you shoot that fast, but it gives you way less recoil -

Is it worth programming my mouse to do that, and relearning the spray/recoil of weapons? -
So, technically, modded screens are also allowed? And if let's say someone is using a modded mouse that gives no recoil, how do we know that he's not hacking?
Define modded screen? Since if its not hardware based, its most likely not allowed.
There's a difference between no recoil and one that is used by a modded mouse, since no matter how much you fire with the hack, you will still have no recoil. The mouse however isn't like that. It goes by different methods via mouse control, not editing game files.
A modded mouse is just as legal as a turboset controller for a console. -

oh and talonblaze, you said the socom could fire as fast as the player can, but you were wrong, there's a limit to the RoF, I tested it -

hmmm, how would I change the settings to that? Not very tech savvy.. ;( -

It empties 13 bullets in 1.7 seconds, which means it has a rate of fire of 7.059 bullets per second.
I had thought it emptied it's clip in 1.8 seconds, so I was pretty damn close lol -

Why is it different this time? Anyways, this is something that can be done via PM's in this case. Shoot me it there as I'm rather curious. -

wth... it shouldnt be legal if you can shoot faster than normal xD Plus if i used a modded mouse i wouldnt use it in pubs anyway could be mistaken for a hack and get you banned. -

that's partially why i made this thread actually, so that if they ban me i can refer to this as evidence that says it's okay to use modded mice lol -

just to make it clear: its not the mouse, which does this triggering, its a software, which triggers the events. i dont know if thats legal since it gives you an advantage, no human player can achieve. or can you trigger with this 2ms intervalls?
And what software does it use? Otherwise almost any mouse can be retrofitted for this modding. As said, hardware is fine. It's built in. Just like a turboset controller on a console, you just hold the button down and it does it for you.
Thats the case with most mice and gamepads anyways. -

Like a forced dead pixel.
And thanks for explaining -
well, the drivers of the mouse does. i dont think they built a microcontroller with a clock into a mouse to achieve this.
@v_rocker: you are thinking of a crosshair for snipers, dont you?
Not only that, but a smaller crosshair for regular rifles. -
LoL this thread has made me feel better about my self now, i play on a normal pc with a normal standard mouse ect an i think i play ok, but since most of you guys are all playin with supped up pc's an modded mice that take away recoil ect then obviously i better than i thought ..... LOL this should be a new thread... how good would you guys be WITHOUT your modded stuff ???????

That is true of ppl using Hacks... but alot of the pro gaming community use super fast pc's and modded mice as this thread talks about, i'm not surgesting that is the same as using a hack i'm just asking how good they would be with a bogstandard set up and no modded stuff ect.. -

well i'm LT in one of the best GM clans in the game, I just got this new mouse a few days ago -
Macro hardware is allowed because it can't be detected
Macro software is bannable because it can be detected
well my hardware contains the macro software, and if they have a way to find one they have a way to find the other, there's no difference to the server. all the server sees is the button being pressed extremely fast, makes no difference to it how -

So your telling me that theres a mouse that fires 7 bullets a second, so thats an instant one hit? o.O or am i misunderstanding..
