Start Up Problems

Hi, for about 3 months now, I would get version.ini whenever I would try playing. Now I can get it working sometimes... But I have to re-install every time I wanna play. Now I get "A file has been changed or forged." I DON'T HACK! Why does this always happen to me, could someone or a GM help me get it working smoothly again. Early thanks!

I will tell u something. GM dont replay coz they dont listen. Only the users/players help each other here in this forums.

Sorry m8, Only thing I can say is that reinstall the game correctly. Meaning, after u uninstall CF, remove all traces of z8 and CF using utilities like CCleaner. (Its really usefull). If it doesn't works, try different Mirrors and scratch your luck. Sorry, I know its not really helping you to solve this issue.

Like before, reinstall your Game.
Make sure, you got the latest Graphic and Directx Drivers installed and that your Windows Updates are up to date.
If the Standart Mirrors on the Website dont work for you, try the Alternative Download Mirrors. Or if these dont work, try these Mirrors:

Ensure, that Crossfire.exe, Gameguard.des and Gameguard.mon files got full access through your firewall and turn your Antivirus program off for the Installation.
If you got Windows Vista / Windows 7, run the Setup and Gamestart as Administrator.
