*New Echo 8 Movement*
Method 1:
A team makes a room and names it (Team Name) 5v5 with a password lock.
For Example: Ambience 5v5
The team makes the room for a 5v5 only, so 10 people max. And the password is the universal scrim password.
What is the universal scrim password?
nopubs
Whenever you want to five, make a room with your team name 5v5 and make it a 5v5 only room. with a password lock nopubs and wait for people to join.
Method 2:
Create a room in the same fashion: Ambience 5v5
Password the room, set it to max 10 players.
Teams that come in to Echo 8, will then PM the room host and the room password will be communicated that way.
EVERYONE SPREAD IT TO YOUR FRIENDS!

Glad to see some initiative. As I said, it won't work unless you make it work. Can't just post here and hope for the best. Good start though.
@ OP:
I had also suggested another way, which you should include in your post, is the issue that Ozz brings up. I will add it for you.
You can STILL utilize this idea, just have people PM the host to get the room password. You don't necessarily have to use a universal password. The important part is to pre-make a "Team Name 5v5" room, as if you were in the clan server. Then set it to 10 players and lock it. Teams looking for a scrim will then PM the Room Host to find out the password. -
also, unlike the clan server if say, you're waiting to join one of these premade rooms and you're in the lobby, there is no way of knowing if the room you want to join is already occupied by players of 2 different teams. the clanserver has the function where it changes the name, we wouldnt have that luxury....

Indeed. Then you just leave the room or have the room host kick them out. I understand there are flaws, but people are looking for some sort of solution. We all know Echo 8 is now a majority pub channel. The pre-made room idea is just a way to fill out room slots with scrim games. There really isn't a way around it, but this could help.
Nothing will ever work 100%. This will still take player initiative. It's just a suggestion.I would just like to see Echo 8 become Foxtrot 8. Just move the location of the scrims, lets not change the way we find them.
What exactly would that accomplish? You don't think public players will migrate there too once more people play there? When there are no scrims, people will make public rooms. So, you're back at square one. Changing servers is pointless. The same thing will eventually happen. -

And would give even MORE teams an excuse to dodge.
When you spam 5, there also a lot of problems. WHen more than one 2 teams spam 5. Its get hectic and possibility to lose a scrim. If you make the room, only one team can come at a time. Plus you dont have to tell them the password. Find their ign is sometimes difficult etc. Its a much faster and efficient way. -

If you think whispering or inviting someone is hard, quit. You're saying that making a 10 person max room, kicking all the nerd virgins that join and try to ruin your room, and waiting in it while everyone dodges you (possibly not you, if you aren't in a good team) for 10+ minutes is for efficient? That's funny.
Keep it the way it is, there is no better way to find a scrim. I don't understand why people keep trying. -
ask for a 5 in the lobby , make a room , invite one of them , tell him the pw in the room, done win
^this.
I don't see why ye're complaining so much. It isnt very difficult. Spam the lobby for 5, put 5v5 in your xfire status or whatever and just ask around. There's a lot more teams in NA than EU so it shouldnt be difficult. After that it isnt difficult to make a pass >.> Just don't make stupid ones which no-body can spell, e.g. a simple one like ''beef'' or ''fish''. Not difficult to remember and spell but nobody would guess them. -

Well then to me, know change would need to be made then. -
Is it free?
Of course lol, its how CS players found scrims, still think it may be unless EVERYONE has moved onto the esea client.
(example of channels: #Scrim, #Sourceinvite, ect)
