The real solution to (connecting to server please wait) when joining rooms

Guys it's a quick fix if you have anti virus programs downloaded.

For mcafee users :
Delete mcafee completely, download AVG free, it's better and easier. After you did that follow the directions below.

For AVG free users:
Open it, click tools, advanced > go down till you see direct shield > find exceptions under that > go to add path > Find your crossfire folder > Next find your game guard folder, click it, apply it and click ok. After that it should be fixed. *note* This only applys to the people having the ( connecting to server please wait) when joining rooms, and if you have these anti virus programs. Plus, [MOD]greycloak noted that you shouldn't need to switch anti virus programs to do this, so my work around this would be to go to wherever your anti virus allows you to "add a new path" and find your crossfire folder, click game guard.

Most Antivirus don't block gameguard. Only the ones that has a Firewall will. And i suggest getting Avira Antivir instead of AVG.

but sn1peyou, are you experiencing this problem or your just trowing ideas like that out in the air?

I'd like to ask you the same question, and btw. I have had this problem for days, i just fixed it, if you have a problem with that and are not willing to try this solution, get the hell out of my thread for the second time and don't start a fight again, let the people that actually have problems decide. And you are calling me a kid, but you wont stop flaming people. Just hush and let them see if it works, it worked for me.

All i did is ask if you actually had the problem or not...lol calm down..im happy it works and maybe it will work for others but if the game used to work and just like that it doesn't, well chances are it's not cause by an antivirus/firewall because it was working not too long ago.

but, coming back to the point of your thread, Was it working before, then it stoped, then it started to work again?

problem crossfire

Hello forgive I have a problem with the crossfire I am of mexico, but queria to know if it is a problem of the game or of computer. The problem is that whenever I want to initiate the game I cannot enter, not if it(he,she) is for the repairs that estan doing or because this one badly, my computer I play in laptop HP dv5-1135.
I GO FROM SATURDAY WITH THIS PROBLEM WHEN I WANT TO START PLAYING ONLY, AND ME A PICTURE APPEARS IN WHITE THAT SAYS TO AGREE BUT DOES NOT INITIATE THE GAME AND BLOCK THE COMPUTER
