Hope this guide will help new trainees not to make stupid mistakes like me when I was a trainee.

When you start out,you should have 40k GP, then 36k after purchasing your charachter.
DONT buy anything yet! Use your M16 & M700 to earn as much GP as you can. Once you have earned 7k GP and own at least 43k GP, buy the M4A1.

Now with your M4, earning GP should be somewhat easier. When you level up to private, you should get 10k GP,(DON'T spend it!). Continue leveling up to sergeant lvl 1, to earn 20k GP (again, DON'T spend it!) Finally,when you reach staff sarge lvl1 and get your 30k GP, you should have at least 60000 GP.

Now use that GP to purchase yourself a deagle. You should still have 25000 GP afterward (don't spend it).

With your M4 and deagle, earning GP shouldnt be that hard. Continue to earn about 31000 GP and buy yourself an AWM. Now you're all set!
