Breaking guns for Gp?

I have been told by many players that you can break your weapons and get a gp refund. I was wondering if I could break my m700 (don't need it anymore because I got draggy :P) and my m16, and if I could, how much could I get from them? I have broken an Mp5 that I got out of a crate and I didn't get a refund, so does it only work with weapons you buy?

you can get 5- 10 k GP but its not what most people think... Its not one huge refund of GP. Its the gradual increase in cash due to not repairing the gun. But I mean damage and GP are compared to how good you do in game so just randomly spraying your gun...you wont maximize your GP gain

I think u should play on BM
I'm playing all the time and since I started I bought 2flashs and 2 smokes,I won several weapons too for limited time, I think its the best thing on CF to get GP
