Is there a way to speed up the game?

Okay, I'm running the game on my laptop but it takes a while for the login screen to come, or for me to enter matches. I was wondering if there's a way to speed this up without having to go out and by more RAM.
I'm running XP SP3 on an Acer laptop with a nvidia GFORCE GO 6100 graphics card.

I wouldn't mind sacrificing some game graphics quality if it helps.

Try getting gamebooster. What it does is that it shuts down game-unrelated programs and services that are taking up some of your RAM up.

gamebooster helps keep you from lagging while you are in actual gameplay,,

he wants to make the game load faster from the start, like when it says "Loading Interface" and "Checking Resource Files"...

i'm guessing the game takes a long time to load because it is very large in size.. it used to load fast a couple months ago but they must have added or changed something

Yeah, my desktop loads it fairly fast, but my laptop has problems loading it "fast". Depending on what you mean by fast, but you can change your graphics to low settings in options, in the game.

WHOA, no way. Did you happen to think that changing his desktops normal settings to the same as his in-game settings would speed up the switch from the menu screen to the actual game, or did that slip past your brilliant mind.

He doesn't want to speed up the switch from the menu screen, he wants to speed up the loading times between loading games.

You must be running on fumes because if this is the normal "you" then I'm surprised you found out how to register for the game. He wants to speed up the switch between matches, if your screen rez has to change between every match then it's going to take a little longer. I thought you of all people would know that, after all, you have an answer to just about every thing else, and then after that, an excuse.

Thank's, now while you are spamming every thread you can get your hands on.. if you would read some of them you would notice that he said his laptop was slow when loading games. Which if you change the settings to low, it helps a little.

If the game is running in fullscreen, which is the general specifications, it shouldn't switch resolutions. Obviously if he is asking how to change the graphics a little he wouldn't of changed to windowed mode, thank's.

Best advice as far as reso goes is to keep it as close as possible to your native.

Ya, you hit it spot on. I've gotten game booster but it doesn't help. I'm not lagging, just the loading part takes a while.

Oh well thanks for your input guys (and quit bashing eachother :P)
