Error without error message A.K.A. Wth?

So have been playing for months with few problems but recently my dog chewed my ethernet cable, upon replacing said cable the next day my CF would load the startup window and then nothing, no little Nguard pop-up no fade to crap intro of game no game =| Please help I'm only 1k exp from next level and my new glock D=

EDIT* I tried reinstalling and again nothing =/.

Ensure, that Crossfire.exe, gameguard.mon and gameguard.des got full access through your Firewall and turn your Antivirus program off for the Installation.
Also delete your Gameguard folder in your Crossfire directory. It will be automatically repatched the next time you start your game.
If not, download the game from another Mirror or an Alternative Download Mirror again.
Run the Setup and the Gamestart as Administrator, if you got Vista / Win 7.
