Definition of the word "Prefire"
Often in scrims I see players saying "Nice Prefire" Which later leads to callouts from that individual and soon the whole team. This is to inform players that are starting out or have never scrimmed/played a match before.
When someone says "Nice Prefire" it maybe a compliment or they are hinting that you cheat but a prefire isn't always a sign of a cheater, sometimes it's just instinct I know it is for me. Prefiring doesn't reflect eye or sound coordination you usually have a feeling they will go in a particular course and then you just aim there and kill without seeing someone beforehand.
Trying to attempt that with an awp AFAIK is impossible, It would mean that you would have zero reaction time. You can preaim somewhere in the hopes that someone will cross through but without hearing them you can't really prefire with an awp. Think of it like trying to pick the crack in D2 mid.
And if an individual from the other team is still persistent on calling you a cheater, Just give him a growler of the first half for him or growler in the second half to stop it.

Great thread. When I'm using my m4 I prefire a lot. Sound is an important aspect of my gameplay, and since some objects are wallable, I use that to my advantage.
Not as much as I prefire in cs, but that's because you can shoot through stone in that game .
The only thing is your awp statements. If you are camping a corner and you can hear your enemy running, it's pretty obvious when they will turn the corner, and "pre-firing" it isn't all that difficult. -
Wrong, all pre-fire is chams.
If you move anywhere near the enemy, you cham.
If you camp a spot and they come to you, you cham.
If you spray and kill them, you aimbot.
If you spray and hit them in the head, you aimbot.
If you one shot them in the head, you are an obvious aimbot.
If you stand in spawn, afk while looking ahead, you cham.
If you stand in spawn with knife while afk while looking down at the ground, your legit. -

Prefer is when someone opens fire before they see you. This does not mean you hack though. For example, when I come around corners and I hear footsteps, I will leap out spraying as I start the jump (when I'm still behind wall) and finish the jump. That is an example of a prefire.

It can just be a feeling where the eneies hide.
I play most time S&D matches and after 3 games u just know the noobspots and walkways cause in 95% of the games somone is there so they are sure kills.
After there are not to many maps for one gamemode its easy know the standard spots.
See Monaco: you all know where to stand with a sniper rifle, so you expect ppl there.
Fire some bullets at this places and you have a more than 50% chance to hit someone. -
Happens to me but its not always in scrims, its sometimes in pubs but especially GM since i play that all the time, i will camp a corner and wait for the footsteps, since i am used to it i can time it right and usually kill them instantly which leads to a kick, the only way i can avoid this is playing with team mates or another pro GM clan.
