cant play! happening to millions of people!

i start it up and it says edited or forged filed. automatic shutdown. and it closes! i cant play and i want to plat b cuz i love this game! this only happens on xp and i wont waste 100 dollaws to get vista cuz it works on vista only! plz post why this happens and how i can fix this!

gAMES SAYS I CANT GET INTO THE TEST SERVER

Earlier i tries to get in to Crossfire on my account, and it says i cant get in because of some sort of message about a test server. I tried with another of mine and it worked fine, is this account banned from the game?

Crossfire should be working fine with XP.
Heres what you can try to solve that Problem:
-Check, if there are new Windows Updates available and install them.
-Check, if you got the newest Graphic and directx installed.
-Uninstall your Game completly by using something like Ccleaner.
-Download the Setup file again from the official Crossfire Download Mirrors or Alternative Download Mirrors on the website, or when these Mirrors dont work for you, try it with this Mirror.
-Make sure, that your firewall allows the following files to get full access to the internet: Crossfire.exe, Gameguard.mon and Gameguard.des
-Ensure, that your Antivirus program is turned off for the Installation.
-Run the Setup and the Gamestart later as Administrator. (right click on Crossfire.exe -> properties -> combatibility - > Run Application as Administrator -> Apply -> ok)

If these steps dont help to solve your problem, post a Screenshot of the Error you get please.

That means normally, you got banned.
If your not on the banlist, your Account might be under Investigation by the GM's and therefor you wont be able to log in. If you are on the banlist, the Reason stands there, why you got banned.
If you feel yourself unfair traded and/or dont know, why you got banned, feel free to contact the Support, they can explain you, why your Account is not avaiblable anymore at the Moment.

And btw, dont post in complete different problem threads, just create a own thread the next time :rolleyes:

Im getting the same message but i was playing the game just fine a few minutes before it started, maybe less than 1 hr or so. The game loads till this point, then it closes it self. I have a 2002 windows xp and it was working fine, i followed your guideline but i couldnt fix it, here is a screen shot:




Please help, i just bought some ZP and i would like to be able to use it -_-.

.omar. try it with the Setup file from another Mirror.
Sometimes the Setup files from a Mirror dont work for whatever reason.
Try it with the Crossfire Setup from here and follow the rest of the guideline aswell.
Tell me, if it worked

This is not fair,im in ban list for hacking when i didnt even use not even 1 single hack i feel like the gms or not doing correctly there job. This is ......

You got banned for hacking.

If you feel yourself unfair traded, contact the Support.
Theres nothing else you can do about that.
But just for your information, the Support doesnt ban without reason and proofs, so whatever you done, it got recorded and reported.. thats life.. :cool:
