  • Because those programs can potentially lag some players with lower end computers, also at first it seemed like people wouldn't be stupid enough to use hxx in a tourney.
  • no1 lags in a 5 v 5 growler doesnt lag me at all and i have a low end computer. but what they should fix is for the low end computers is when people dont make it to the next half, people can join back as long as they are in the lobby from the start.

Agreed 100% becuase i have a low end comp and i cant even scrim becuase " with that dumb cool looking guy they put at the end of the round ur char with his gun " it takes to long to load and by time i get ready to press * ready * every one is playing and i get D/C i wish they would make an option to turn on or off that little guy with his gun at the end of round so i can Scrim/Clan war again.
  • they should have an anti-cheat system made that all the ppl in the tourney must log into before playing, and if they arent logged in they get DQed... idea from VSGL.. and im sure the crossfire team could come up with something like that.. :D
  • i like unreals idea
however if u put growler on 2 fps it doesnt lag u up at all...
    so whats the next excuse?
  • out of the 64 teams, 3-4 hacked and got caught right?

lol wut u mean?no i havnt tried growler yet but if its anything like Fraps then it will lag..

i can Record with fraps 75~90fps it wont go any higher than that.plus anything near 30 is too slow for me.
  • out of the 64 teams, 3-4 hacked and got caught right?

yea and those are the teams that got CAUGHT. so there's possibility that hacking clan never got caught

sigh I'm just sad that few good clans got dropped by hacking clan
  • This should be common sense...But I guess not...

The Gms Cannot make you use a 3rd party unsupported program for their game... It is not in their power. Even now the people in the finals have the right to deny the request to growler/team viewer. As I said before they are unsupported and Z8 does not recognize them as form of replay as they can be altered thus why you can't report people unless you send in the actual game file (.cfr file)
  • I think the biggest concern here is that if growler was enforced, Many would use cracked versions making Z8 liable for those cracked versions.

It's not legal however they should have taken the time to write in the terms of agreement for the tournament that you are required to use growler in your matches and that you are responsible for cracking it and Z8 is not associated with you.

I suppose scheduling for the 64 teams and monitoring them took most of Saidin's time.

Also Icely I don't know what your on about when you say growler files can be altered, You can ask for the .gcf only not the .avi and if saidin was/is running the tournament he can enforce growler and disqualify teams for not growlering a match. There was a pretty long waiting time in the beginning when it was announced so if growler were to be enforced there would be no excuse not to have it. TeamViewer on the other hand is pretty shady.

the gms wouldnt force growler anyways cuz not every1s comp can run it and cf at the same time aka (Low End Machines)
  • I would love to see growler mandatory, but fact is that its a 3rd party program that is not supported (nor supports) z8.

Also, I'm sure there would be plenty of people who...erm, have trouble setting it up and getting it all going.

That being said, running it at 1fps isn't going to hurt your performance in the least.
  • Players with low end machines should set growler to record in 1 or 5 fps, No it doesn't actually record at that it just lowers the standards so you can play smoother without feeling any jerky lag.

Did you even read my post?

The GMs CANNOT force you to use a 3rd party program to play there game it doesn't matter what it is. Growler/Team Viewer is not supported by Smilegate OR Z8 Games. This will never change.... there is just to much legality with it. On that note the developers are working on fixing the replay system as its obviously not up to standers
  • Using teamviewer could be a better option though. Forcing the teams to check each other out and reload CrossFire is a good way to make sure your legit. This also doesn't affect FPS and isn't running during the game.

    Idk, makes sense to me.

Agreed but again it cant be forced.... But instead of the other team looking at their comps it should be a GM or MOD it just makes more sense lol
  • i tried running Xfire broadcast on low..i got 24-31 fps, kinda suckish to use live viewers on low~mid end comps...

    Meh.

I don't trust TV at all. I don't like random strangers have an iota of control over my computer.

But if it were a moderator or GM then I would be fine with it, as they have no stake in the match. But a player from the other team -.-
  • anti-cheat system that was used in VSGL .. was that effective at all?? bc if so.. i think that would be the easiest way to go xP
  • Anti cheat systems have to be constantly updated.

VSGL's has not been touched in ages, and more importantly is not something that you can just grab and use.
  • i know this.. but would it be possible for the CF team to do? .. for the future of course

yup i played at VSGL tourney with Anti Cheat System../=After every match they automatically send the replay to the server/admins.I think thats the best way right now.. it just need to be updated from time to time,as uve said those are 3 party programs and there lots of legality that needs to be done.

What if z8 buy ( if they can afford it ) the ACS software that they used in VSGL , polished it and apply it everytime you held a tournament. It that way the game would be more
    " LEGIT " ..

I dont trust teamviever though. What if the guy knows where to hide his CHEAT files? and hell turn it on once the game starts?
  • It should have been used from the start. But i guess using it for the last few rounds is good to.
  • yes if they were able to make an anti-cheat for a league, then y cant we amke it for cf.
and i kno it would have to be updated, then get people to do it.

like the 7 out of every 10 crossfire players who cannot speak/read english

You can stealth inject crossfire easily.

You can remove their ability to control your computer. My teamviewer is set where the viewer has no control, it's like a presentation.

Can't people just play nice and legit? Is it that hard?

    JAJAJAJAJA NO MEN

:) Nope, people have to enlarge their non-deserved ego.
