Major lag issues

Im not sure if this is the place for lag related queries but here goes..

I have been trying to play Cf for the last 3 days and I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO KILL ANY SIGNIFICANT NUMBER OF ENEMIES!!! I shoot and shoot and keep on shooting and only i seem to be dying. Is this problem cause of the lag in ping ? Is there any hope for playing CF from india, for the matter, anywhere in else south asia? is there any new server comin up this side of south asia to aid us(SUPER SERVER CF ASIA)??????? please help me out here cause im losing hope of playing cf (properly..).....please also lemme know if there is a way of solving this lag issue from my end....i really do wanna get back to shooting with the ak....

Yes, this is a problem of the Ping if your crossfire is runing fine.
The Servers are based in Toronto and soon in the UK. Therefor you always will be laggy just coz of the distance between you and the Servers. If you cant get a faster internet, you will always have a similar ping to the one you got now.. :rolleyes:

And no, theres no plan for a Server in your Area. (Taken from the Common Suggestions Forum)

-The West Coast US server located in LA is now open!

• EU, Southern US. More coming as needed later on.
• Asia: We will not be placing servers where there are established native versions of Cross Fire
• South America: No plans for a server.
• Oceanic: No plans for a server.
• Philippines: No plans for a server.
• Everywhere else not mentioned because the list would get ridiculously long: No plans for a server.

I bought the most expensive Internet connection I could find but still no luck,I lag so much that I got use to it. Day time 180-200 lag,Night time 130-135.Romania time

I hope we see that UK server sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon!

guys you have 2 options...
this client has 2 servers, one in canada and another1 in the west coast server which is further for you
the only thing you can do is for the UK server.
but i guess your account is not high ranked so
why don't you try other crossfires? there are many servers out there, just look for the closest one in asia.
i'll help you, look at this website: CLICK scroll down the page till you see EXTERNAL LINKS. there are 5 versions of crossfire, you've already played the US version, try the closest one for you
you can play chinese cf and vietnam cf, try chinese first, i guess it's closer than the vietnam cf

Thanks for the info, unfortunately going to the other asian websites(the chinese, viet and japanese websites is a whole other problem...i dont know any of those languages and from what i saw i cant make head or tail out of it...lol.........its a pretty hopeless situation im in....moreover this is my alternate account (in my main account im master seargant 4. I played CF from when it was out i think jan 31 or feb 1st..till the end of april) i made cause i was playing with my main account recently, like 2 days back , and i noticed that, well , i was getting massacred everywhere, so this new account was basically a test account to verify the lag issue (or if i had lost all my skills for FPS..:P)....and it was pure massacre ......lol

By the way would u know the criteria for starting up new servers based on locations? do they just look at the number of players that might play or how does that go?

Licenses are a criteria, coz Z8 Games dont have the license to host Crossfire allover the World, there are other Companys doing that.
And for other criterias, they need a lot of players to probably play on that Server.. And in Areas, where crossfire is normally not supported for obvious reasons, there its not rentable to host servers for Z8 Games.
But for other criterias you can pm [CM]Fallenangel, im sure he'll explain you more reasons, if you wanna know something more..

would the west coast server be closer? it seems like it would.. i mean, the coast of asia is closer to the american west coast then the toronto server is.. i could be wrong.
