I've played with some of the more competitive brasilians and they are no different than anyone from UK or NA. The biggest thing that holds them back is the fact that they group the pub cheaters into the S&D Pros. Hopefully a league can pick up crossfire for brasil and help nurture their competitive community.

there are some BRs that go into echo 8 and own some kids.. and when that happens they get kicked.. just bcuz its a na game doesnt mean they have to get kicked every game they go into that has atleast 1 NA person. there is some excellent GM players and SnD players that are BR.

Brazilians are not a race, they are a culture. Z8games allow them to play, whether you like it or not. If you can't cope with that, you should be the one looking for another game to play. -

Truly empathetic people won't look whether or not you are deserving. It is a trait, a quality, not something that you self-calculate in anticipation. If you do, you are not really.

OT: I know what you're talking about. There are two halves of the CF community. One half consists of the politically correct, internationally-minded people, while the other half consists of those that choose not look at things from someone else's perspective-- I'm not saying these people are bad; they will usually have some reason that's somewhat reputable.
It still ticks me off to see people make posts like BAN BRAZIL! PROBLEM SOLVED. To be frank, most people just like blaming others for their problems, and that doesn't help.
If you're one of the people that actually thinks that it's only the Brazilians that are hacking, open your eyes. There is no statistical evidence to prove that. Trust me. There are plenty of hackers that aren't from Turkey, Brazil, Egypt, etc. -

On Uk server, around 70% of the brasils are hackers, just because the smart, nice and polite Brasils (know loads of em from the time uk server didnt exist) know their ping is worse on UK server, and won't come there without a reason. I know im 120 ping on alpha server, so I dont go lag on alpha either... So this is the reason I often randomkick Brasils, i can´t see the difference between their 400 ping and a speedhack. If they should talk english, even just a little bit, you could explain them that they're on wrong server, but just around 30% does (or the hacking 70% does too, but just ignores everyone, and keeps flaming in is own language).
on uk server turks and egyptians also lag, but i wont kick them cuz they can´t help it (its the closest server for them)
Some ppl do deserve empathy, but as long as there are so many hackers from your country, I don't believe your gonna get it. -

Well...there's not much I could add to that.You only deserve as much empathy as you have EARNED. And for me, brazilians don't deserve much empathy at all. If they don't hack, they QQ. If they don't QQ, they use the m12. If they don't use the m12, they lag. I mean, you can't avoid the lag. I bet brazilians are great people, but from my experience, I do NOT like brazilian GAMERS. I'm not saying I hate them, but I do not like them either. I hope nobody finds this racist, it's just my own opinion...

All I needed was 1 (probably 2) year(s) in school and I could more or less speak the basics (as in,. Not fluently, but I could speak some of it. Pokemon and Warcraft 3 helped me some, and later on games like JKA, Runescape and Puzzle Pirates helped me on. After the age of 11-12 I knew how to write English properly, and I could speak British fluently. -

I think that we do deserve some type of empathy, but not empathy because of hate towards other nations. We deserve empathy because of the fact that some of us can and will live playing against and with Brazilians. Brazilians are discriminated mainly because of a wall that blocks communication. Most North Americans that aren't of Portuguese or Brazilian descent don't know how to speak Portuguese fluently. This could be the result of the secondary language of America being Spanish, and French for Canada. Communication is a huge factor in this game, and because a population of Brazilians do not know how to speak English, it causes a big gap of understanding.
Also, there are tons of discriminatory messages mutually going around. For example, many North Americans believe Brazilians to all cheat, or use third party programs. Many Brazilian believe that North Americans all cheat, or use a ping cheat which gives them a lower ping. It's simply the fact that there is a lot of prejudice in this game, or any game for that matter.
Because of the fact that, even though we live in the same time zone, we live completely different lives. Brazil isn't as economically developed as us, we can't assume that they live the same lives. They live a long plane ride away, many people don't even go to Brazil on vacation because of costs.
Going back to the discrimination, many Brazilians aren't all the stereotypical view. If anyone remembers Brazooka, he was a Brazilian, and probably was a top 20 sniper for sure. It's the same thing with high ping snipers such as Slaya, they go through discrimination all of the time in pubs because of their ping.
All in all, Brazilians are humans at the end of the day. Discriminating them over something over the internet is just childish. You're not going to travel to Brazil, and discriminate them and call them hackers because of a few that you've seen on Cross Fire.

Because for one clearly all thse br's have enough money to run a comp/internet. let alone allllllll the zp ive seen some of these people buy. and its not just the language barrier. its the hacks. -

I don't hate, but these players are quite often the lowest life form in CF and they prove it again and again. I can't go into a room and before starting see all the BR/TR names and think "this will be a nice game" because it most probably won't, in fact I wouldn't even join the game.
I accept there are good BR's/TR's and I am friends with some BR's and even they feel they same way lol

Well, as long as i've been playing many games with communities, i've been seeing a crescent feeling of hate towards the newcomers on the gaming community, like BR's (let's take this as an example, because you already know the problem that is caused here in this game), you guys are really getting ****ed off and hating and stuff because you think we all cheat, disrespect and such, but have you ever analyzed the situation like, entirely?
You cannot judge an entire country by just looking at the people from there that play a game, to analyze it correctly you should do at least an sociologic analysys, minding the culture, the way people are living on the country, and so on.
I've been talking to several players that i know, from near " i don't have anything to eat but it's okay as long as i have a computer to distract myself from the hunger" to rich players, and as far as i got, i've noticed how the way people are raised affect harshly how they behave towards gaming and/or communities, even facebook, IRC and such examples. People who are raised like spoiled childs, or haven't had any kind of chance of giving up on ignorance tend to bend towards the bad ending of gaming, turning into the things we hate the most, specially in brazil, where the culture tends towards to the "i'll do it if i can do it" or the "i will take any advantage i can to win" lines of thinking generating:
-QQ'ers as you may know them
-Cheaters
-Glitchers
-Ragers
-Trolls
so, Brazil suffers from a late blooming economy and a corrupt politics group, causing a bad public school makes people dive into ignorance/agression and advantage taking patterns of behavior, but, as i said, the economy is blooming, and people start to have money to buy computers, or use them regularly on lan houses, introducing the younger generation to gaming.
Generally speaking, an houses here, or the computers they buy have a low budget hardware specter, so, only a few games will run on these computers, guess what, CF runs on those PC's...
Merging together a bad school, bad examples from the people who rules the country and culture influence, the gaming comunity wouldn't be that good looking, bad manners with big Egos generally generate hate towards the disavantages these gamers have with the poor ISP quality, wich will moe likely generate bad players, behavior speaking.
So it's not really our fault, it's a new thing on our culture to deal with, gaming communities are still new to us, and many of us cannot deal with the disvantages that our still blooming economy give to us, so do not blame us, actually, do not blame anyone besides the ones who facilitate the degradation that a bad player could cause, like cheat distribuitors...

The other thing is you guys either found CF from a blog or some form of information and/or typed it in on google translator. I say if you guys are really that desperate to shoot people, I suggest going on some in-browser games and doing so...
What doesnt make sence to me though are BR's with tons of zp items yet act like morons... So you're rich enough to spend money on a game that isn't really worth spending yet you have the education of a 5th grader.... When that money could be spent on a better game or PC? or maybe for a game console like a 360? Com'on... I'm dieing to get my console to leave this sad game so I can't really believe that you wouldn't do the same..
I don't know if you do have game consoles yet or not but if and when you do, I suggest making a trade asap... Good thing about the console gaming is that there's hardly any real lag in the online game. Unlike here where everything is based on wether you live close or not. -

Well, some people like me (i have an xbox 360) canbnot play FPS's without a mouse, it just doesn't feels right, doesn't feels like i am in control of the char on the xbox .-.
So, i play thinkgs like gran turismo 5 or something like that on the xbox
And, about the money spending, it's like, spending a lot of money slowly on CF, but people do not realise that they could use that money to buy a good game for their pc's or even a good pc, because they only focus in an quick method of gaining the advantage in the game, so, i think they really do not realise how much money they're spending until they stop to make the accounting .-.
