Do you delete eveyone in this folder when your trying to fix crossfire?C:/program Files/Z8 Games/crossfire/gameguard.I just want to know the answer

if you do that your gonna have to reinstall... so you may aswell get rid of the whole z8 folder

as the installation install gameguard anyway

whats the problem your having?

When I start the game,the picture shows up and then when it's gone,gameguard won't show up in the bottom right and I waited over an hour

gameguard is being blocked.. and cf wont run without it
stop all antivirus' and firewalls and try again

Ensure, that Crossfire.exe, Gameguard.mon and Gameguard.des got full access through your firewall and turn your Antivirus off for the Installation.
If you just wanna replace the Gameguard folder, go and delete that in the Crossfire directory. It will be automatically repatched the next time you start your Game.
If that doesnt work, you need to uninstall your Crossfire and download it from the Mirrors or Alternative Downlods on the Website again, but if these Mirrors shouldnt work for you, you can try it with this Mirror.
If your having Vista/Win 7, you need to run the Installation as Administrator.
