A letter for Z8!
I know this issue has been discussed for quite a long time now, but let me just make it easier and clear so noone get offended with this anymore.
This issue is about Windows 7 x32bit and CF is not compatible. On z8 side says that it's GameGuard that blocked Win 7 users to get into the game. But some users say that they can play others online games with GG just fine.
The truth is both GameGuard and CF are not compatible with Windows 7.
I did a test myself. Installed Crossfire and Sudden Attack (both using GameGuard nProtect)
At first, both game after the patch update is run, they automaticly restart my Laptop (I dont have the blue screen, but others may do)
Then I went look for a way to bypass GameGuard, and I found a pretty usefull file call "GameGuard.des" (it's in both CF and SD folder - you can download it and paste it to overwrite the file existed in CF and SD folders) Basically, that files temporary stop the update or whatever that GameGaurd does at the time and let u go straight into the game.
And guess what's the result is? Sudden Attack let me in without a further problem and I was able to play SD. However, that doesn't work with CF, same thing happen, after clicking start, my Laptop restart like it did before (this time without GG running)
So yeah, it's pretty clear that the GG is not compatible with Win 7 is not an issue anymore.
Right now, WIndows 7 has been fully release so I hope z8 staffs have a look at the client and try to figuring out the problem instead of just pointing fingers into GG and ignore it.
That's all I want to say here. Thanks for reading
P.S: If z8games doesn't do anything about this, untill GG update their programs, I believe it will be much much clearer that not only GG has issue compatible with Win 7, but also CF does.

I'm starting to think z8 already knew it was the game's problem, not GG's, since the beginning.
They're probably trying to place the blame on nprotect so no one will ***** at them while they're trying to fix the problem.
Too bad their ****ty coders take eons to fix a simple bug. -

We are a publishing company. We have no coders for Cross Fire to be "****ty" to use your word.
We are waiting on Game Guard to fix the problem, the game should run fine once they update their problems.
There are some player made solutions on the internet. Simple google searches will turn up results and discussions from various other games and sources about Game Guard not working with Windows 7.

We can't condone the use of any 3rd party program however, so use at your own risk. There is information on that program on that wiki site.
For now, GG has handcuffed us and we can only sit and wait. -

Those fixes work fine on other games that have yet to receive windows 7 32-bit compatibility because the devs were too lazy to update their GG.
CF is the ONLY game that doesn't work with those "fixes".
