To start off, before you enter any thread, read the title. You can almost always tell if the thread is a troll/rage/spam thread by the title (examples would be: hackers, Z8games is ****, and other like titles).
2.
Always read who the author is before entering any thread, if the author is a known troller, well, you can probably guess that his/her thread will more likely be a vapid thread. Names can also describe the mentality of the author, as they (the names) are more or less the creative result of the author's personality.
3.
For those who did not know, you can hover your pointer above the title and read the first few lines of the actual thread itself. As you can imagine, this is very helpful.
4.
If the last person who posted is a [Mod], and the thread looks like a troll thread, then it probably is a closed troll thread in all likelihood.
