Windows 7 32-bit incompatibility is from the game itself, not GG

You guys probably made up this bull **** so you can get more time to fix up your game without having people *****ing at you 24/7.

Want proof?

AVA uses gameguard and it's playable with windows 7 32-bit.

Every other game using gameguard is now compatible with windows 7 32-bit with a few exceptions.
Stop making excuses and fix it.
IMO, you guys should have been working on it since the RC version came out. Oh wait, I bet you were. It's too bad your incompetent staff couldn't find a way to fix it.
Want it to be done within a day?
Give me all your info and I'll patch the **** up in 5 hours. It shouldn't even take this long with your "professional" coders. I suggest you fire them all.

  • Can you proove that Accusation? Otherwise stop flaming on Z8 Games and let them do their job.
  • Why don't you explain to me how other games using gameguard are compatible with 32-bit windows 7?

Stop blaming it on GameGuard. Actually, nprotect released a windows 7 fix patch WAY WAY back, even before the RTM release.
Nprotect is NOT working on the problem because they already fixed it. The game is the problem.

Furthermore, a coder who uses windows 7 32-bit made a gameguard bypass, fully disabling it. His computer crashed even with the disabler. This was also confirmed by other coders in many hacking sites who had the same experience.
I'll say it again: The problem is the game, not gameguard.
  • Also, sudden attack, a game that doesn't use GG, also had a few bsod problems with windows 7 32-bit ONLY.
The bsod gave the *SAME* error codes as it does when I try to load up CF.
This was later fixed by a subsequent patch.

It's something with the game that's causing the problem.
  • Hum... interesting post. I've always thought the game was the problem too. Just couldn't prove it since I'm not an expert in this field. Why do other games using Gameguard are supported by Windows 7, then I assume FixCrossFire has a point!
  • Z8 thinks gg is the problem while nprotect thinks the game is the problem. Therefore, neither of them are doing anything about the problem.

    Another proof:

Windows 7 32-bit crashes *AFTER* the GG splash screen disappears, meaning GG successfully loaded.
The computer crashes the *MOMENT* CF starts to load.

If GG was the problem, we wouldn't even see the GG splash screen, because the computer would crash the instant it was loaded.

    Wrong.
Suddeen attack works in Win7 32-Bit.

But, anyway, z8games didnt said that would fix the game when you BUY the Win7?

    ...
    Wheres the fix.

Learn to read. I said the problem with SA was fixed.
I bought windows 7 last week.

The fix was made way back. Why would anyone upload it? It was an official release.
  • In case you didn't notice, the BSOD mentions wmi_mmc.sys. Try doing a google search for that and tell me what program that comes from. Nevermind I'll tell you: Gameguard. The game itself would run fine under Windows 7 32 bit if it weren't for gameguard. If you feel the necessity to complain about the issue feel free to contact Inca Internet and tell them to update their product. There is nothing that G4Box/Z8Games can do about this issue.

Hah, don't feed me your bull****. The game IS the problem.
How come Alliance of Valiant Arms, a game using gameguard, runs fine on my computer and every other 32-bit windows 7 user's computer then?

Greycloak has explained this sufficiently. Thread will be closed.
