when you said [dangrig87] to reinstall the game you meant to delete it and then install it again or just download and install it wthout deleting it?
Yes , uninstall (delete) the old game. And install it again.
Today the game has updated with the new patch , and still works great .
No more error.
PS1 : first time i only replaced that RB001.rez and that didn't solve the error.
So i deleted the game from Control Panel : Add/Remove Programs .
And after that i downloaded again the game from Z8Games site (from Download, East Coast mirror).
I installed.
Now works great .
PS2 : sorry for my bad english . -

Still doesn't work <.<
Hiya there Gm and others. I have tried with both of those REZ files, The Zipped and the Unzipped but none of them make it works... I still got this HGWC Error :File is changed : W[2007] L[0] Crossfire.exe. U released these notes at the patch before this and then it worked this way but now it just don't wanna work ¬¬ -
This is a clean, working RB001.rez file. It'll sort the HGWC error that a fair amount of you are having.
Unzip the file to your CrossFire\rez folder (by default C:\Program Files\Z8Games\CrossFire\rez\ )

Picture to help.
Double click the .zip
64bit windows will be Program Files (x86), try that instead.

kewl patch ,bro
Well I've been having this error quite a few times but I could just usually go play in game anyway and it just delayed the login time. NOW after this patch I cant go into the game AT ALL. Originally it said I had the wrong client or a "corrupted" client so I re-installed. Then I try to start the game multiple times consistently getting a W[2000] L[10053] socket error at 73% or 66%. Additional info:Windows XP 32bit,ATI RADION 9800 PRO (cause im SO good *trollface),Intel Pentium 4 processor (3.06GHz), 17 gb of free space.
Tried to fix the HGW errors before using the suggested method and it only exacerbated the issue by creating an even worse error (one involving a certain missing file), making me re-install. Additionally I saw the patcher download a .dll file...which is kinda weird
P.S. Not Amused -
Ok so now i can randomly get past the HGW socket errors again but still have a corrupt client error. So i apologize for posting what i have on this thread because most of it is now irrelevant and will search for a thread that better corresponds to this issue or start my own, please ignore the post above as to not waste time thank you.
