Subagames Website Up Again?

I noticed that Subagames' website now has a new Halloween design, and they also have new pages for their games.

What is the official connection between Suba and Z8Games?

They are nothing but competitors now.
  • G4BOX / Suba Games / Z8Games.

G4BOX is the license holder for metin2 in the North America / Canada region. They have held this license since the introduction of Metin2 US, and continue to hold it to this day. Likewise for CrossFire. For a time, both were published, controlled and operated entirely by G4BOX.

Suba Games/Wicked Interactive is/was a partner (it's murky water, no clear distinction between independant partner or at least somewhat of a subsidary) to G4BOX. They are/were based in the same area; the same building if I'm not mistaken. G4BOX and SubaGames entered a partnership whereby G4BOX's properties (Metin2 US and CrossFire) would run under the SubaGames platform.

Suba was ultimately at the mercy of G4BOX as far as the operation of Metin2 and Crossfire went. G4BOX is the license holder. The exact details of the split remain private and are only up to speculation, but with G4BOX now having ended their partnership with Suba Games, Suba Games cannot legally operate Metin2 or Crossfire in G4BOX's licensed regions.

Z8Games is a newly created and seemingly wholly owned subsidary of G4BOX, which now handles their licensed products, Metin2 US and CrossFire.

I can't see SubaGames somehow managing to obtain their own licenses to operate Metin2 and CrossFire, so I'm not sure why they have those "coming soon!" pages. Those pages have existed for a long time now though. Incidentally, the "Metin2" logo text they use on that page was created by me. Funny to see it being used in so many places.

TL;DR - G4BOX/Z8Games and SubaGames are no longer in a partnership. Green sucks anyway.

As far as I know all the above is accurate, hopefully somebody higher up can correct any errors if there are any :)
