Welcome to the May 2011 Content Update! Normally, we post the patch notes pretty soon after the patch is released. But we felt the need to make you all sweat a bit!
Eliminate your friends in the new map Tombstone! Hopefully our little fun and games with the Wanted Posters make sense now!

New Messenger System has been added to the game!
New Stricter Auto-Ban Policy!
Remember the Good Ole Days - You own the Thompson, Winchester and Winchester Scope
Showdown Sheriff - You have collected and redeemed at least 5 of the Wanted Posters released in the days leading up to and during the May 2011 Patch.
Keep Your Account Secure!
Please be sure to keep your account safe at all times by never giving out your information to anyone! (our staff will never ask for your account information in game). Also never use third party hack programs with our game, they may contain spyware or viruses. Anyone found to be using hacks of any kind will be banned permanently!

New Messenger System has been added to the game!
To use this messenger system click the friends tab and then head over to your inbox!
There is a limit of messages you can send per day.
There is a limit of characters that can be placed in each message.
Your inbox also has a maximum limit, however you can easily delete messages by pressing the trash can button!
You can now search for friends using the friend finder option.

New Stricter Auto-Ban Policy!
We have made some changes to the automatic detection system. Not only is it picking up even more hacks (and it gets updated all the time). The auto banning now has a stricter policy that will lead to account closures.
We still review reports and ban IP's and accounts permanently for all reviewed hacking cases. So please be sure to continue to report hackers to our support system!
Improved Clan Matches!
We still review reports and ban IP's and accounts permanently for all reviewed hacking cases. So please be sure to continue to report hackers to our support system!
Clan Matches will now end immediately when one team has enough wins to be declared the winner.

New Rose Combat Axe Added! (zp crate permanent weapon, limited time crate)
New FR-F2 Sniper Rifle Added! (zp crate permanent)
New Rose Grenade ZP Temp Added!
New Blue Smoke Grenade GP Temp Added!
New Chalk Outline BP Spray Added! (this will be added to the BP mall today)
New Operatives Equipment Set for higher levels added!

It worked until last Saturday or the fix worked until last Saturday.
I hope you see the difficulty in determining what the problem is if the first case is true. Because technically this problem has been reported before last Saturday. And your computer was working fine. So something must have happened on your end. Because the game did not change between last Saturday and last Tuesday (or any other 2 days you can think of) that are "last".
We are monitoring the problem, but have zero reproduction for this. The best we have are some community helped "fixes" that seem to work for people and have more to do with the settings of your computer than with the actual game itself. -

thats what u said about the pings getting highet after the patches gues what ? after mays patch my ping was back to normal let me guess my internet provider changes my internet every time this game has a patch ? yes sure alwaus our end when its clearly the game itself -

What are talking about this mailing feature Is good way to communicate with your friends in crossfire rather rather than waiting them to be online to talk to them.
Bottom line Good job Z8 this is a nice feature. Plus it will help CF Community greatly. -

Quit praising them, Wize. This patch sucks ass and you know it. Rose Axe? 2 zp crates and no other weps? Never said it was always the users end. I said it was impossible to determine what the cause may be.
Ping is just a number. When your ping goes from 80 - 120 there is likely not much of a difference in how the game acts. Pings change all the time, the factors are virtually endless.
Have you ever downloaded something and the download rates fluctuate? That obviously must mean that something else is happening, whether it is your computer, your bandwidth, your isp, the servers bandwidth, the number of users on a server, the number of people downloading it, the weather, the time of day, the distance between server and user, the colour of the spots on a Cheetah in Africa. It could be anything. -

The 'fix' worked untill last saturday.
Iv'e even reinstalled XP but the issue was still there... -

after the april patch my ping has been 117 constantly until the may patch now its 90 constantly yep makes sense
