Any ideas on a good headset?
I currently have the Turtle Beaches x11's which are pretty decent but even in my room with it turned up in competitive matches my parents still complain of hearing the noise of the gun sounds and the "Fire in the whole" which is annoying to them. Anyone have any suggestions on a new headset where outside noise gets canceled? and still have great sound quality?
Thanks in advance.

Depends on how much money you want to spend really. Don't listen to anyone about there steelseries/panasonic/corsair garbage. Sennhieser has always been known for the est sound around the world. It's the 1 and only thing they specialize in.
If you want great quality sound that has a mic attached. This has been the best set out to date for a while. I have had a set since they came out. Great headphones, great sound quality, sturdy and not cheap quality materials and very comfy.

If you are looking for something without a mic that has impeccable sound

I also have a set of these. Honestly it is the best sound I have ever heard. There is not much base, so every footstep you hear is crystal clear. They have great dynamic sound and if they had a mic I would use them over my PC350's. The PC350's have more base so it's a little harder to hear footsteps and that when grenades are going off ad people are talking in vent/mumble. But either headphone would be a huge upgrade to the garbage you are using. -

yes this guy knows
BUT
MOST LIKEY TO MUCH FOR him i have steelseries 5H v2 usb.....but as u said u need to hear only and not your parents so in that case dont get the 1 I have i mean the sound is great but with this game its kinda hard to know where the footsteps are really coming from sometimes but it only happens in this game
but yea they are super loud and if u can get in a 1v3 or 1v1 place and HAVE EVERY1 STFU ON Vent/Mumble u will most likely know right where the other guy is
but yea it all depends on how much u need to spend or want to spend. -
I would say just get a pair of Gamecoms 367's they are terrible but people in the room will be able to hear what you are hearing, not through the whole house though lol. On the pluse side, they're $25 ! Just a stepping stone so ur parents dont get in your ass.+

Great choice. You will love them. I can't even hear my wife come in the door and my comp is right beside it. Great noise canceling. -

Can people hear your gameplay if there in the same room or downstairs? cause that is the main issue for me. -

No, they are closed ear. My volume is always at 50% windows and 100% in-game. I can put them on the desk, muffs up and barely hear it 10ft away. If' they are on you need to be within 2 ft to hear and it's still faint -

Cool. Then this is the best headset for me. Thanks for all replies and thanks mrn.

I recently made the switch to W3s. Great isolation/noise leackage iso and decent soundstage with crisp highs and great detail in the mids, bass extends to the lower mids abit, but I just EQ it.

I used to use AD700s (http://www.amazon.com/Technica-ATH-AD700-Open-air-Audiophile-Headphones/dp/B000CMS0XU ).
But they got boring so I replaced them with beyer 880 250s: http://www.amazon.com/beyerdynamic-DT-880-Premium-Headphones/dp/B000F2BLTM , this is when I really started getting in to Hi-Fi and began my audiophile trip/DJ hobby. I absolutely loved the sound but since I had sold the AD700s I wanted something more laidback and warmer.
I then bought d2000s: http://www.amazon.com/Denon-AHD2000-Performance-Over-Ear-Headphones/dp/B000MVEC0Q, and kept the 880s. Then i finally made the switch to the westone 3s .
If you want the ABSOLUTE best though, I suggest this:

I listened to them and fell in love with the senny sound sig. -
