Lets not get off topic here, we are talking about the funds for Japan were sent 1 month ago.
no i made this thread to talk about the funds that crossfire raised to send to japan. the nexon was just a comparison of how much they raised to crossfire -

Well in that case I agree with you that the amount is pitiful, my watch alone costs more than Z8 raised in relief money >_> -
anyone who thinks throwing away 5000 is a small sum for any company is an idiot.
If you consider 5,000 to Japan aid relief "throwing away". Also if donate to charities you get a tax break if your a business so I guess you could call that a small sum since you can recover some of it. -
we don't gain anything from it though from a purely financial point of view, so in essence it is throwing away.If you consider 5,000 to Japan aid relief "throwing away". (this sounds crass and i do approve of the donation, just commenting on the purely financial aspects)TASTELIMES wrote: »z8 is capable of donating much over $5000.
so are you, why don't you? -

wait wait wait WHAT?! YOU DONT GAIN ANYTHING FROM IT ? $45,000 IS GAINING NOTHING TO YOU? REALLY!? LOL -
and you of course assume these 45k goes straight to company pocket.
(psst, I said we don't gain anything from the donation)
ok well think about it that just the few items that you guys sold. what about all they other things? hmm? the crates the exp+ the characters? i doubt the 45k really make a diffrent to where ever it goes to bills or anything cuz you can obviously cover that with some other items sold -

I'm pretty sure that there were some people who only spent money because they knew it would go to a cause, so saying "we don't gain anything from the donation" cant be true. Not to mention the addition PR a.k.a publicity? -
-
I'm pretty sure Z8/G4Box announced they would be donating 10% of income on whatever items were being sold.
They did what they said they would. If you feel they should have donated more, then you should have bought more Japanese stuff.
and let them make more of a profit on it ? -
-
And they are, now they're trying to help and you should know for a natural disaster as big as this, every cent helps. Last time I checked, Japan didn't even ask for donations.they can make profit on all the other things that they sell -
they can make profit on all the other things that they sell
I'll repeat. They announced what they were going to do.
If people didn't like it then they should have just donated to the Red Cross or some other charitable organisation directly. -

Portion 10% = $1.2 Million
Vs.
Portion 10% = $5000
Now, Nexon has been around for much long, has more profitable games, and to be frank, are more truthful...I doubt they only donated 10%. Even EVEN STILL....that supposed "10%" was QUITE generous....
And not some bullsht $5k that doesn't even begin to cover SMALL expenses that $1.2 million can cover.
Nexon > Z8/G4.
End. -

True.
But with something like this, it makes you wonder if they REALLY even donated the money....since they want to shut people up or move threads to obscure areas of the forum.
And the fact that they made that much money on 2 ITEMS means they made MUCH MUCH MORE on OTHER ZP sales...why donate such a small amount? Did they think it wasn't as bad as it is over there or something? Did they SERIOUSLY thing that $5k was good enough???
They can claim it was "in good faith", but setting the bar so damn low negates that period. -
TASTELIMES wrote: »where are you kids getting these numbers from? 10% of what? their profits?
....Go and read the Announcment from almost a month ago. It CLEARLY stated 10% from those 2 items. 10% of $50,000 = $5000. Get it?
So, YOU need to stop talking out your ass...some of us do read the forum constantly and keep up on things...
And 10% of $50,000 aint DIDDLY. -
-
they couldn't possibly have predicted the outcome and you're a fcking idiot.True.

5 or 50k wouldn't make a difference, you would biiitch anyway because of course, one of the richest nations in the world need our help with a situation they already have under control.
what would you gain by them donating 50%? 60%?
absolutely nothing.
if you're going to theorize as to where and how the company money is spent, finish elementary first so you have at least a minor grasp on economics
