Please sign up for WCG

If you are a team and have 4 or 5 people from america just complete your roster and sign up. We are the only game in which the qualifier brackets aren't full. Right now we only got 4 teams signed up and it looks rather embarrassing. Just participating can get you a free trip to the national finals.

  • I intend on signing up soon, see you at lan ;)
  • We've been looking for a sub, but yeah fdn will get on it.
  • I support this. With only 4 of 96 Team slots filled in comparison to the other titles almost completely filled. Not only will EVERYONE signed up at this point make it to the National Qualifiers, but there will be what's called a black ball. No other event will look in the direction of Cross Fire in the future. For the money invested in this event, they can look elsewhere for more activity. Qualifiers are open for EVERYONE. The only stipulation is, everyone must be from the United States of America. In all honesty, this is a once and a lifetime opportunity. Instead of LFP/LFT for ESL and WOGL at this moment, gear your team up for WCG. More money, more exposure. The experience is the greatest part.
  • Can I have a link to all the signed up teams?
  • 1.
    FraG 6/6
    2.
    ins 5/6
    3.
    LPK 5/6

    Edit: I didn't have you added. -_-

this is a major problem for many teams :(

It's really not a problem though. As an ex. competitive administrator for this game, I can HONESTLY say the rollover rate of players per. team is high. Just as fast as you [meaning anyone] left your last team, you can put together a strong team to compete before the summer. It's only a problem because people make it a problem. There's a lot of great guys out there in the U.S.. This is the world of e-Sports. Players change hands for a purpose; In this case an American team. I've been to, and participated in events where players LITERATELY swap to a different team last minute and do work. I think all this but my team has Canadian players bullish is just an excuse. If your THAT serious about competition in this game, your signing up and getting together a group of guys. You either WANT to play, or you don't. If I under agreement COULD manage a team for WCG I would, in a split second.

People don't understand the magnitude of this...This REALLY is a great experience. And this is it for CF...You don't want to miss this and look back with regret. I mean- if your cool with the casual construction and play of ESL & WOGL, than by all means frag it up. But WCG is where the money is at. You spend 4-6hrs/day practicing for BIG money kitties and trips, not ZP and $1000. THIS- ....is as close as your going to get to REAL Competitive e-Sports in all its' lights.

SNSD 5 Canadian line up gee gee gee gee baby baby baby.
  • You see the problem here is really that this community isn't ready yet for these big events, we need to mature up as a competetive community or either we'll just die off or CS teams will come and take our mantle.

The opportunity is in front of us and if we attend and hopefully if we can make an impact, this game may change forever. Sponsors will be looking for teams to pick up and not just some shaggy vent sponsor, real sponsors that will not only sponsor teams but hopefully the game as well. This community will mature in a way never seen before.

This could possibly be a turning point in CF history(no joke). WCG is the biggest opportunity this version of the game has had. It's time to make our mark.

I agree 100% with what you are saying. Hopefully people will take this seriously and get signed up
  • I honestly think only about 2-3 teams at max will show up for the lan qualifiers for the US, only US team I know with adults is LPK.. the rest are just teens that probably can't afford to travel.

you will be getting a stipend by wcg ( reimbursement; meaning they repay you) for your travel and lodging for national qualifiers so dont worry about that until you make it. We as a community need to show wcg and other organizations looking to potentially pick up crossfire that we have a strong community and it's worth the investment. get 5 people and sign the **** up on us.wcg.com. dont be afraid of losing, everyone does it and noone will make fun of you. this is your chance at the big times so get a team and go frag!
  • Hopefully going to get FDN signed up tomorrow,
See you guys there and goodluck!

do you really care about the other teams or are you just afraid that they'll drop crossfire seeing this outcome? ;)

We could really care less to be honest. At this point, they won't be dropping anything. Its already announced and will be ran as a world game. We're trying to get more involvement so crossfire can span out to more venues in the future. Judging from only 4 teams fully registered, that shows a poor outcome and investors don't like it.

i want to see more events after wcg is what i want. they wont be dropping crossfire from wcg but i want more events in both usa and internationally.

  • I would sign up if WCG wasn't dumb as ****.
  • I love how a good lot of people complaining about not signing up arent even signed up themselves >.>

If they announced there would be an EU qualifier tommorow i'd be making a team inside a split second. I've never lanned before, i've never gone to watch a tournament but i'd sure love to take part in one. I've gone to loads of sports tournaments with my team on the continent [aka europe] and I must say it was some dacent craic. I don't understand how people are so reluctant. As a final note, because there is such few teams signing up - you could just get 5 friends and just pug out qualifiers. You could reach the last 4 from putting in next to no effort.
