I need help. AK-Silver+AWM Camo vs AK-Gold

In clan wars I have a S&D kd of 1.8.

I do great in clan wars, I do great against top clans. My rifle of choice is an AK-47, but I use AWM sometimes as well. Just today in a 5v5 against Infamous, I was stuck in Mexico Alley in a 1v5 clutch. I sniped 4 of them out(one of them being a no-scope ) and then made the mistake of picking up one of their golden m4s, where I thought the last guy was injured and sprayed it out and ended up doing 96 damage to him. Sigh, Armored Spops >.>

Anyway, I just said that to qualify myself as a competative player I suppose and of course for a little bit of an ego boost. We all need one sometime.

The clan knows I own with AK. I've used it the longest and I'm the best with it. If I get the Ak-silver(35/105), I'll just be another one of the 6 of my clan members that have already bought the Ak-silver. I don't want to be like the rest. But if I do get the AK-silver I could use 70 of my 88 coupons on the AWM-Camo. Now I'm good with dragshots, no scopes, flick shots, air shots, crouch shots, the whole package. But I have not yet learned the quick scope which is one of the most versatile sniper techniques.

Maybe I should put a tiny piece of tape in the middle of my screen to help with my quick-scopes? XD Don't know.

But I don't feel like I've mastered the AWM ENOUGH to buy the AWM Camo, which, in a sense isn't THAT much better. I mean, the advantage is significant and the play style is different, but is it really worth it?

Now Option #2 involves me simply waiting for my next ZP package to come in(2-4 weeks) and getting the Ak-47 Gold. I'll finally be recognized as the AK beast that I am in the clan and I'll be proud to use and continue mastering this weapon. But is it really worth it for the 3 extra bullets as well as the recognition? Don't know.

Option #3 involves waiting for the next major patch to see what else they have. But can they really have anything that can change my circumstances? I mean, what's an upgrade from an AK-Gold? An Ak-47 Golden with a bayonet? Gosh that would be sick

So yeah, comment on my thoughts.

This might sound old but, it all depends on your style...

If you are a better sniper than a rifleman, then buy the AWM camo

Despite all the moaning about the planned changes to the AK-47 Silver, its still a pretty good weapon. Sure the mags will go from 38 to 30 bullets, but you'll go from 3 to 4 mags, adding an extra 6 bullets in total.

On Top of this, the Silver looks way better than the Gold. In fact, AK-47 Gold is an eyesore. And AWM-camo is THE BEAST. Double the ammo of a regular AWM. Together with a DE-camo, you'll PWN hard and long.

So its really a choice between pick 2 very good weapons, or 1 very good weapon that looks like crap.

Ok Lolliranger, sounds like you base your opinion on looks alone. What do you mean an eye sore? It looks fantastic! It's a frichen Golden Ak-47! How much more awesome can the AK get? That really is as awesome as it gets.

No that's because we only played on port. Yes I suppose against pros I tend to be a more reliable player when using AWM, however on Mexico, I usually use AK. Then again... I did ALMOST do a 1v5 clutch against infamous when i was stuck in the alley with awm lmao.
God why did he have to have armor. ffs.

Different tastes, I guess. I think its fugly. The colour is off and it looks like a freaking shiny plastic toy gun. On top of that, the bright colour makes you stand out, so trying to blend in with your background is out of the question.

You say: Gold > Silver > Bronze

I say: AK-47 Silver + AWM-Camo > AK-47 Gold

Its really very simple. Ask yourself this: Are 3 extra bullets per clip real worth giving up the best sniper rifle in the game with twice the ammo? Trading in 2 weapons you are awesome with for 1 weapon and 9 extra bullets?

You are looking at this situation from the Pubstar's perspective.

I am looking at it from the competative level as well as a social level.

Of course a Pubstar would say that 2 guns are better than 1. 2 toys to play with.

From the competative aspect, an AK is really all about the spray, how long can you hold a spray into a certain spot when you know an enemy is there and can come out any second(the alternative to an m4er who's continuously bursting). It's 8 extra bullets, not 9 and 3 more than AK Silver. Gold > Silver. AK Gold > AK Silver and the AWM Camo sounds great and all but it's really all about shooting through boxes. A real awmer really doesn't need any more than 2 shots max to kill one person(unless they are having an off game) and in most cases it only takes one shot. AWM Camo was made for pubs and snipers only, it's a god in those modes, in competative play however, you'll just shoot through a few extra boxes, woohoo?

Ak Silver doesn't represent anything in my clan. It's just a gun that 4-5 people currently have. AK-Gold is non-existant in my clan. I'll be the AK god if I get it while simultaneously having an AWM which works just fine, oh noes, I'll need to do a 3 second reload boohoo.

I'll need someone more competative-play-experienced to try to convince me.

Get the awm camo.

Ak Gold = Shiny, and only 3 extra bullets

Awm Camo = 1 hit kill against armor (and EVERYONE has armor these days)

Go with the Silver and the Camo. The three extra shots in the GAK aren't a dealbreaker, and you'll still be on par with anyone who doesn't own a coupon gun in terms of ammo. Plus you'll have your AWM Camo if you need the versatility.

I use the AK-47 Silver.

And the silver looks MUCH better than the gold.. The gold looks like mustar/) got coated all over it. At least the Silver has a "platinum" look to it.
At the end of the day, the gun colour or uniqueness of the number of AK Silvers in your clan doesn't determine you being a beast AKer in the competitive scene, so get out of that mindset. Three extra bullets won't save a Beast AK user, although an extra bullet (let alone 5) to do a quick scope before having to reload can.

Idea is that the Ak Gold is the best Ak with the most bullets.

AWM Camo really isn't THAT much better than reg one really lol. I'm not 100% comfortable with my sniping skills yet so I don't want to spend 70 coupons on this. I'll stick with my normal AWM for now.

I did see my friend shoot an armored gold ak user clearly in the back... and it did 80 dmg. I thought that armor saved you from being awmed at that point lol. Guess not?

the ak silver and awm camo are basically the same but the awm camo has faster reload time and the ak silver has a silver paintjob

if u really into it, get a golden ak. tell them ur different than other besides the skills in game.

You are kidding, right? If the AK-47 Gold is better than the AK-47 Silver because of the 3 extra bullets per mag it has over it, then the AWM Camo is like carrying 2 regular AWMs, because it has double the ammo of a regular AWM.

as an ak user myself i say you should buy the silver ak and the awm camo.

why?

because the ak gold is only 3 bullets more than the ak silver, while at times that could help you out its not very likely, esp in clan matches.

the awm camo on the awm, some argue that the awm camo is useless but i beg to differ, having used both weapons i can safely say that the awm is beast, because if you use an awm in clan matches and they rush and you use up your 5 bullets, your screwed as the reload is so damn long. With the awm camo its double the bullets you'll get your ass saved.

you get 2 great guns! we all get bored of our main weapon so switch it up. The gold ak is decent but at only 3 bullets more its not too great.

In the end its all your decision, so i hoped my post helped and maybe you should take what the other posters are saying into consideration. They're not stupid you know?

The Awm-Camo has double the bullets, it's still +5, but at the same time it actually doubles the quantity.
I actually like the Ak gold, but then again, i wouldn't pay 100 coupons for 3 extra bullets, since now I have the Ak silver. Btw mate, if they by any chance, only changed the bullets, the ak-47 silver sprays just like an ak 47 gold, it also has the same automatic speed.
I actually have 72 coupon atm, and I don't save them for an ak gold, and I won't buy the awm-camo either... I'll just wait what future patches will bring us, because i don't spend too much money on this game ( i know, 72 coupons doesn't look like it, but I've had some sort of sponsorship) .

So the idea is, get that damned Silver ak, you'll still be unique if you are the best player with it.

If your as pro as you say you are, get the m700. 1 bullet headshots (of course) 10 bullets, light, faster reload,AND free
as for the ak47, do whatever but all aks have different spray patterns

Thanks for all the replies guys. I bought the AWM-Camo and the AK-Silver and I'm extremely happy with them. All I want now is Kriss and Deagle Camo but I got half of my dream items. I've been r4ping with my AWM, more so than usual really. Hopefully it stays as the best sniper in the game and nothing along the lines of a Golden AWM comes out. That would suck for me rofl.
