Black screen when CF loading at vista

well as i just tried out CF at my lap i saw that it dont loads with a black screen like windows vista's desktop PC i have...so if you can give me a solution or something i'll be deeply grateful! thnx in advance

NOTE: The black screen is when the program is not responding.


MY PC SOFT:
Windows Vista Home Basic SP 2
Intel Core 2 Duo

MY LAP SOFT:
Windows XP Professional SP 3
Intel Pentium M

download gamebooster, put it on gaming mode and you will get a normal loading screen instead of a black screen.

gamebooster is normally a program used to get higher FPS at games, but it also seems to help in this black screen case.

just search on google for gamebooster

theres no real solution for that, you can just go to your task manager (ctrl+alt+del) when it happens and close all crossfire processes, wait a few minutes and restart your game again.
It might not work the first try, give it a few trys and the issue should be solved and you can start your crossfire again :rolleyes:

I've posted this a few times earlier about players having issues w the black screen. Yes, use gamebooster. That is the easiest way for most people. There is a thread going around in the guides section

As much as I hate to say this, and I know these threads get really annoying and old.

Ive used gamebooster as instructed here, and im also on Windows Vista.

However, to no avail. This was not a solid solution.

Any other help would be appreciated

Try to launch the patcher_cf.exe manually and wait a bit. At least it worked for me. I had the black screen too when I launched it normally.

Actually all you have to do is wait I am running vista 64 bit and I get the black screen for a while then it plays.

Just wait it out, all it is is that the game is loading. You don't need anything unless your computer is an epic pile of junk like mine (but I still wait it out).
