I have talked to dozens of people with this same problem over crossfire. Me and my clan D1Force begin talk and we brought up the subject Black screen and why the game is always shutting down. I was the first one to say something I said “It’s a bug”, then we begun to argue about 1/3 of us said that it’s not a bug it just means that you have a bad cp. And 2/3’s of us said that it is a bug.

There was even a guy that said he just got a new vista computer. I realized that I also have vista so I spoke up. And out of all of the ones who were complaining about this problem also had vista. So that’s when we really begun to talk…..

Just to test my curiosity I went to alpha server 1/ main chat. And asked was anyone having a black screen problem. Just like that I got 4 people that said they did. And out of all of those 4 people they told me that they did have windows vista.

So what’s going on? Windows Vista

And will there be a patch for us vista users?

Everyone probably already knew that. But i got Vista and have no problems with a black screen. (your using game booster?) Or maybe you got Service pack 1 from Vista?

I have downloaded almost everything there is. I have a vista premium and 900GB. I have a new game hard drive. My computer is the perfect gaming machine. Their should not be any reason my pc is doing this?

i get teh black screen after my first game only
yes and my Crossfire cilent sometimes randomly turns off when im loading into a room

i just installed service pack 2 a few days ago, and im still experiencing the black screen problem, so i dont think the whole service pack thing is making a difference in this case.

I have Windows XP with Service Pack 3, and I still get the black screen issue. Thus making this thread worthy of the recycle bin. =]

Yeah, i pretty much knew that already,i just made a suggestion since this thread is focused on what the cause of this black screen was. Maybe its just randomly ;p

I think its a service of the Windows Vista that made it.

it has to do with the
end results folder trust me
i no it does black screen to me is normal because i edited the end results folder in ui files to transparent wich makes the black screen but i dont crash
so means crossfire is making some sort of bug when loads up ui files end results
