Well here's how it works on the forums and in-game too.

People start QQing about certain things and when they get bored of doing so they move onto the next one.

Since everyone got bored of QQing about the overpowered M12s and hackers in-game, they move to hating the new character.

Just live with it.

Personally, I think the new character is not gay. The jacket might be a little tight but that doesn't mean he's gonna be gay. If the jacket was wider people would start QQing about shots not registering on the jacket.

People need something to QQ about to get along with life.

Reasons why SIA is called gay:
Same deal with SPOP or STAR. Smaller hitbox, so you're harder to hit.
He wears a brown waistcoat.
He wears a leather jacket.

Now I think the waistcoat was done horribly. If it was done better, it'd be badass.
