OMG graphics card?? not..here..

OK this would be my 4700th thread about my computer that i am just messing up more and more.



i read a thread about a kid asking another person to go to 'run' and type 'dxdiag' and read what it has under approx total memory, and if it says n/a, than he didnt have a graphics card



well MINE SAYS N/A. did my graphics card go bye bye when i wiped my computer?
where can i check to make sure? because before i wiped it out i had an nvidia geforce5200.


im so sick of this computer bs.

Start>Control Panel>System>Hardware Tab>Administrator of Dispositives...

If you can't see your graphics card's name there, then it's not installed yet...

umm administrator of dispositives??


all i can click from there is hardware profiles, add hardware wizard, device manage, and driver signing.

i have a bunch of system cd's that ive had since ive gotten the computer, theyre all installed, as far as we know.

i was hoping that was the reason why my crossfire wouldnt load after the gameguard popup, but it isnt.

im going to follow with what spawn said eulogy in your device manager is there any yellow warning signs, if so what are they, we will figure it out toghther

EDIT: actually i have 3 yellow ! signs on that. lemme check what they are

actually theres only 2 now, 1 went away.

^one of them has to do with my speakers, im hoping xD

Solution:
Download and run the Intel® Chipset Software Installation Utility. This will install the chipset INF files so that Windows* properly recognizes the chipset's built-in SMBus controller.

ok i did that, and it told me to restart my computer, so i did, and i was stuck to lowest color quality, being 4. it wouldnt let me change it either lol. so i did a rollback on that.

yea u might want to call your PC's tech support it sounds like you might have abug in your PC or something is burned out

i understand that the 5200 is very old, but i dont really know a cheap graphics card thats good, and i also need to buy ram, because i -sorta- dc from cf, my ping goes from 45 to like 500.

i can get 1gig of ram no problem, i just dont know of a cheaper graphics card.

my computer is old, and stock lol.
