why a chat filter?
why does crossfire have a chat filter?
this game is ment for mature english speaking people. yet they block so many words its not even funny. I ask you why is it all the english words are blocked but the br's can curse us out in spanish and portaguese?
how is it fair that a game ment for us over 13 year old english speaking people denies us so much but gives so much to a group that this game was never ment for?
so heres my purposal would you as players get rid of the chat filter if it were possible?
or if you won't get rid of the chat filter all together z8 then can you at least give us the option of choosing if we want it on or not? let us toggle if we wanna read such curse words and see language that may not be appropriet for the immature people who play this game when they are not even of the legal age to play

There is always reasons for why they block them. No skill for instance is a total insult with just 2 words.
Its obvious why they block it. -
Censoring anytime, anywhere is wrong and stupid. period. C'mon z8. There's always a way to bypass it anyway and it makes too many normal sequences of letters censored. Oh, and Spanish words are censored too. Just try to type "put an assault rifle in bag 2" or whatever. put*an*a-ssault rifle. Or cons*picuous or any number of words and sentences that get censored. Sure, censor the basics for kids who play(why it's okay for kids to shoot people in a video game but not okay for them to read swear words they've heard a billion times is beyond me) but quit f*ckin with my regular innofensive chatting. :mad:
edit: sorry for the swear words but I think I made my point. bypass accomplished. -
Also why would noob, fake, hack, hacker, etc be censored? They're obviously not particularly offensive words. You're not just trying to protect the user from being exposed to off-color language, you're protecting yourself and the game from being complained about period. This is a different kind of censorship all together and is even more unethical.

Chat filter has to remain, cf is already flooded with curses and inappropriate words and no matter if this game is for 13+, there is still a huge amount of younger kids playing it..
Anyway i believe censored words are kinda weird - you cant say noob, but swears like kurwa, scheisse or porra are ok? Because those kinda curses are the ones which flood this game the most
Noob was a nice and useful response for so many hackusations and other QQing and i am not going to stop using it (with some slight modifications of course)
