Stance On Farming

All you gain from this is that people stay longer to level up your computer and they can earn more money first get right the problem of hackers and after that it is not a serious problem if your company loses money
PD
Crossfire loses more users each time. -
Hmm. Z8 should better concentrate on banning hackers instead of getting rid of farmers. At all w/o Farmers Z8 would have tons of money less.. all the exp+ items they buy, gives u tons of money, and u want those ppl to quit the game by trying to block farming? There will always be a way for em too farm and soon there will be a way to use vm again, i bet. And u also effect non farmers with blockin of vmware.. some ppl can only play cf with vmware or any other 3rd software.. Pathetic try to get farmers out of the game, seriously ._.
Btw u ever thought about patching the 1vs8 on TD ? would make it harder to farm-.- -
All I wanted to say is, without the farmers Crossfire has allready closed ..
And ADIGA back for rank1! Cant be serious Top1 player and top1 clan is from Brasil ffs.Btw I was and Im still going for Marshall, just wanted to say and I guess no1 gonna stop me..
+1 that's the good atittued to have. -

CF is the same with/without skill-less players.
Haven't you ever noticed the farmers were those who cared the more about this game?
If you haven't just go on the clan page, click player list and tell me how many pages of weapons those guys have.
Plus they need xp plus items. Who else than a farmer would need xp plus items? You guys say ranks are pointless, why would you need xp plus items? -
[GM]Saidin wrote: »Once again we here at Z8Games and Cross Fire we will revisit our Stance on Farming within the game.
Please read the following in its entirety as it will completely explain our position on Farming.
Farming in Cross Fire is usually defined as the act of repetitive "killing" processes designed to increase the players EXP and GP at the maximum possible rate.
Farming, as long as it does not break any rules involving our Terms and Conditions or involve the use of any malicious 3rd party software, is something we can rarely do anything about.
If you want to get 10 of your friends and sit in a room and shoot them over and over and over again to max out your GP/EXP per hour ratio; OR find one of the other legitimate ways to increase the amount of kills you get over a given period of time, then there is nothing against the rules of the game that says you can't do this.
That being said.
We do not condone farming in Cross Fire. We want people to enjoy playing the game the way it was intended. As such we have taken some measures to discourage farming within Cross Fire.
These measures are as follows:- EXP and Point Caps within games.
- Idle timers to kick people who idle in games (be active in game!)
- Stopping the use of 3rd party aides which help in the acts of farming within Cross Fire. This can be anything from Macro Programs, Bot Programs, Hacks and VMWare.
- Adding various other timers and conditions to games to encourage regular play and discourage farming behavior.
Cross Fire was never intended to be run on a virtual machine over 5 instances with 5 alternate accounts all standing in one place while you shoot them to gain maximum experience.
Nor was it intended for you to use a macro program to simulate mouse movements to get past the idle timers, or other programs that find exploits and work-arounds.
If you need a 3rd party program to increase your EXP/GP over time ratio then chances are we are not going to condone it. And while we may not be able to "ban" you for it (at this time). We are constantly looking for ways to discourage this kind of game behavior and encourage proper legitimate normal gaming.
Lastly.
Farming in Cross Fire (with friends, through multiple computers or however else) will likely always exist in some form. We can attempt to discourage it as much as possible through our own means. But anyone with enough time and money can buy 2 computers, have 2 internet connections and play with 2 keyboards and mice. Why they would want to do that is beyond anyone's comprehension. But regardless, the farmer is likely not bothering anyone.
Rarely, in a game like Cross Fire, is farming an indication of player skill. It is an indication of time spent and dedication to a cause. The player may be the best in the game or the worst in the game. But they are likely not bothering YOU with whatever rank or experience level they seem to have.
Someone is ALWAYS going to be above you. This is a life fact. The trick is to not let that one guy/girl who you'll likely never see again bother you just because he/she has a higher rank in a video game than you do.
i not undesrtand the rules -

Im agree with you Flo , if they want to stop farmers , Crossfire will be in the Sh** .
As for me , I want Brigadier a,d i bought a pc about 1000 € just for run Vm's . -
Reading this made me laugh a little inside. Farming, although I personally hate it, is not against the rules. But your point of it not affecting other players is completely wrong. Farming clans are my main concern. They farm clan points boosting their clan up to the top while legit clans who actually EARN their clan points are left behind. If farming was illegal I guarantee North American clans would be at the top instead of brazilians and other non-North American farming clans.
Not that I am racist or anything, I just believe that a NORTH AMERICAN game should have legit NORTH AMERICAN clans at the top.
Now moving on to my next point. Rank does mean something... I know, I know, deny it all you want but it's true. Riddle me this batman, if rank means nothing, then why farm? When you rank up you feel accomplished, like you achieved something through your skill. When other players see people who farm, I can understand why they get upset when they've taken the time and effort to earn their rank and some farmer rolls up into the room...
Another problem I have with farming is that some of them hack and just don't care. I know this is a grey area not discussed a lot due to the complexity of the matter. I know not all farmers hack but some do. They didn't take the time to level up their account legitimately so why would they care if they lost it? Even then it's like what, a three day ban for hacking or something like that?
I love Crossfire, don't get me wrong. It has provided a lot of fun for me and my friends, but this game has some major flaws that need fixing.
Sorry guys for the giant post but I wanted to explain my stance as thoroughly as possible. I know most of you, including GM's/MOD's, will ignore my post but I don't care. At the very least someone will read this and agree with me. -
@ Val1ant:
Well about the clan ranks.. Everyclan could make max cps a day if it has active players.. To get 5k cps isnt that hard. But the thing with the BR clans on top is seriously failin..
And i bet there are less farmers hackin than other players.. Cz they dont wanna lose their acc too, cz farmin they're rank took em time too. For sure there are some exceptions( ky*Killer aka [F]enix
) but there are only a few using hacks. -
The only thing that will happen with this is that Z8Games again and remove it from VMware and out or I'll keep Eidnes a polemic as many players were bored why I think it makes great sense as he took off again and starts and things are arranged or if you crossfire no game will remain the same bullet that always enjoy

Agreed, but most clans just starting out may not have the luxury of 100 members that are active every single day earning max clan points. It's very discouraging to look at the top ranks and see how many clan points they have due to farming. It is denying them the ability to succeed as a clan.
Although it took them time to farm they didn't have to work for it as hard as a legit player. If you asked a legit major and a farming major who wanted to keep their account more, I am certain that you would be able to see that the legit major would want to keep their account more as they have worked hard to earn it.
I see hacking farmers quite often. Maybe you have had the luxury of not being in the same room as most of them because I am sure there are more than you think. Its like they think they have to hack to fake skill because they have such a high rank and a LT. Major getting stomped by a Staff Sergeant just doesn't look right. -

Never begged anyone for any "cows", and yes I have farmed. Farming 2~4 times a year isn't the same as farming every day of your life. There is no such a thing as a Colonel who didn't farm, at least for now.
Not sure, but people say that GIOgarisa managed to get the bird rank without farming. People like him deserve a lot more than you losers who spend days farming.Agreed, but most clans just starting out may not have the luxury of 100 members that are active every single day earning max clan points.
