Crash under win 7

Hi all,

im running crossfire under windows7.
every time at an unsuspected moment it hangs and task manager tells me that
crossfire is hanging.

when i force the task to end i can restart crossfire and play for a little while
(sometimes 2 hours, somtimes 5 minutes)

my system specs of my laptop:

which Windows 7 Version are you running? 32 or 64 Bit?
If you try to run the 32 bit Version, thats not supported by Gameguard yet and the game might not even start.
If your using the 64 Bit Version, it should be working..

im using 64 bit professional version of windows 7

nevertheless,.. it issnt working:(

my girlfriends laptop is using the same windows but there its working fine
so i think its a hardware compatibility problem with crossfire and my hardware?

mhm.. do you get any kind of Errors? Or is it just stuck sometimes and not responding anymore?

just stuck sometimes and not responding,..
the gameplay sound is still working then

mhm.. are you trying to run Crossfire with Wireless or with wired lan?

wireless lan and trying wired lan is impossible

If your running Crossfire with wireless Lan, you might get sometimes unreasonable disconnects / you might get stuck while playing and your Crossfire crashes coz of the loss of your Internet.
I would give it a try to run Crossfire with a wired Connection.
If that fixes the Issue, fine, otherwise you atleast can ensure, that its not a problem with your internet connection.

unfortunatly i dont have wired connection in my house..
but when my girlfriend is playing crossfire on her laptop with my wireless it keeps working fine while i crash everytime

mhm.. thats strange that your girlfriend can play with her laptop and the same OS, but you cant..
Do you have any background programs running, that might interfere with your Crossfire?

nope both are clean win 7 installs
the only difference is that her laptop has a duo core processor and a ATI videocard

Tbh, i dont think its a hardware issue coz you already made it to play Crossfire.
But im not sure, what the Problem might be then..

had same problem, same os. all 5 min or 30 min crash.
have in bios "load optimize ****" and now the game works.

I just installed win7 yesterday and tried playing today. Strangely, it seems to be working in some game modes and not in others. I tried S&D and it crashes while TD seems to be working. Does anyone know why this is happening?

yes, but i also had it when i played alone.

but it is fixed. my first 2 laptops were Death on arrival, they booted up 2 times and then they died.
they had te latest F.31 bios but my recent laptop had de F.27 bios, so i updated and now its wroking fine execpt i keep getting de cshell error (i started another thread about that becouse al the threads about de cshell.dll dont come up with a solution that worked for me)

Thats good to know that updating Bios might be a possible solution to get that Issue fixed.. and nice that you made it to run again
