Increasing Crossfire's Popularity
I was wondering how z8 can increase Crossfire's popularity in the gaming world as a great FPS. I mean, AVA is pretty new to the English scene and they already have 'pros' and a sponsered event by XFire.
Crossfire has alot of positive points and should expand itself, trying to get as many gamers as it can. It's a shame that other not-as-good games are more popular. Does the Korean or Chinese CF host e-sport tournaments? Can't we hold one or two, probably in Toronto? I obviously won't join since I'm in Europe, but I would like to see CF as a game considered for e-sports.
Any suggestions?

I'm really psyched for the Christmas event, and maybe an American Thanksgiving one too? I wanna see what the mods do for Christmas though
actually im kinda afraid of it. its not going to be very good if they launch a spop with some cristhmas costumes. Or candy granades or anything like that.
just my opinion. -
KOS also had no recoil, making it quite silly. AVA is decent but the amount of hackers made it next to impossible to tell who was half decent and knew their nade spots and who was walling 24/7. Same deal with SA, not mention that terrble rules "no flashes, no smoke, no killing snipers".
One thing that would be really cool would be if there was a LAN tournament for CF, I think it would be quite interesting. However I doubt it would be anytime soon but in the future it would really give the game some cred...
Besides that maybe if hit registry was improved upon along with some of the game mechanics it would be more appealing to players.
That being said, things take time. I believe TWL still has a league/ladder up and running, the ESL league is probably one of the best ones out there and THP is also starting up their own CF tournament I believe. If people want the game to be seen as a e-sport things like this need more support. -
This is what I meant.

I mean an activity OUTSIDE the current sphere of players on CF. Get advertising on gaming sites. Sure the Halloween patch, new guns, items, etc are welcome, but what point is it if there aren't new players to use them.
Yes, I know that we are a huge population as it is. But why not go more? CF can certainly support double the players we have now. Charlie server is only half full at peak time. Delta and West remain sparsely populated.
Spread word about CF. It would be a dream come true to see a CF tournament televised across the world. -

rofl so we can have double the noobs crying about hacks and double the kicks from games? no thanks -
AVA is popular because it pays attention more to the competitive side. The instant they opened the game, they had already announced a international tournament that one team could be going to.
And No. They don't have 'pros'. They have actual pros that will be stopping by the play that game.
Pandemic.CoD4 will be playing it for a day. They have a decent league that has picked the game up with ACS and a decent website that far exceeds any league this game has done.
Pretty sure that US National Tournament raises hype as well. I don't know about you guys, but I want a fresh Korea yellow card.
