[Clan Search] Looking for a new home

Hello everyone,

I'm an experienced player in crossfire and am currently looking around if there is a better home where i can fit in. My current clan is best to stay anonymous, let's just say it's top 10. Like i said, I'm first looking around what clans are looking for my kinda character. Keeping my anonymity for obvious reasons.

Every member of those clans are s5 level. And their attitude usually holds up unless it's justified chaos like finding a verified hacker in a pug.

Some other clans have close to a strong starting 5, such as Trio. Why don't u go pug for a bit?

I've never had the chance to really get into the top, so i'm a complete nub when it comes to abbreviations and such, what exactly is s5 level and pug?

And yeah, I've thought of those clans but they are invite only and you rarely encounter them ingame. Only twice i had the honor of fighting 2k/sorry in a scrim. I enjoyed fighting some real champions and see how well-aware they are of timing, placing and accuracy. Something i can really learn alot from.

If i decide to go clanless for a while, i know that i get such a friggin amount of invitations, whispers and spam from leaders/LT's to join their clan. Besides, i've learned to enjoy the little things, such as actually having fun with some of the pubstarz members. Believe me, there are definately a handful of people who are fun, skilled and good sports in pubstarz ... and i really enjoy playing with them, but that's usually for a handful of games. the rest of the time i spend solo on egypt (usually) and the occasional S&D, after like an hour of egypt ownage i usually need to look for s&d's due to votekicks and roomkicks from the egypt rooms.

Well if you know how to speed read a book, and you apply it to forums, you read fast. People tend to read LCD text at 1/3 the speed of paper for some reason, just imagine it's text on paper...

s5: Starting 5. Or Top 5. Typical non-scrim clan has many members, but when a formal match or strong fight is scheduled, a clan pulls it's 5 strongest players. Rarely do you have a clan with all strong players. In this case there is no s5 in a clan, but who has more flexibility in life/schedule to play.

pug: Pickup game. In the case of CF there is a vent called the pug vent. Anyone can loiter there. When # of loiters go up to 10, they pick 2 captains, pick teams, separate channels, and play at an agreed server/channel/room. This is better than a pub because you can teamchat with teamates. seeing your explanation on s5 makes it so logical haha. Well i am not a bragger or some arrogant snob. I'm a decent player that knows how to use a gun, aim and listen to sounds. I'm definately in a learning curve when it comes to prediction of player paths, knowing the obvious camping and hiding spots.

I'm a quick learner and i know from my past experience in FPS playing with and against great players gives me a definite stimulation to learn the ins and outs.

Anyway, I'm still deciding on what to do. e.Xtreme definately looks good, I've decided not to think about the other invites for now. I'm still looking around, I may hop on the pug vent a little later tonight just to hang out, would be awesome to have a game or 2 with you aswell pudgy, you sound like an awesome dude.
