For All People With "File Has been Changed Or Forged" PROBLEMS!!

I Had dis problem since the haloween patch of CF!!!!

My game loads but just before it goes to the sign in screen a message appears saying "File has been changed or forged, CF will shut down by Force!"


And.. Yes ive reinstalled it 8 times!

Anyone else got dis prob?

and anyone know how to get rid of it?

Go to start...
Control Panel..
Performance and maintenance
'free up space on your hard disk'

choose temporary files.. and I forgot the other one..

hey im glad to see yall passing the disk clean up along to other ppl and im glad it worked for u too

well i didnt come up with it more like stumbled across it about 2, 3 months ago. was crabby since i had it for 2 days straight and decided to do a clean up while waiting to try CF again and soon as i was done it worked so i remebered after the next patch, so i opend it said forged, so i went and did a disk clean up and boom it worked again, so i had to do it now after everypatch

I get it after every patch now. Thanks to you I saw you post it and now I can play again.
Now I'm trying to spread the word to everyone who get's this problem.

awesome, thanks for sharing this info.. I just got the error and now I'm gonna try to do a disk cleanup.. it's been a long time lol

Update: Ok I just did it and no it still doesn't work.. gonna search around for more clues

How come i cant find a performance and maintanince? i use windows vista though.

in Vista, go to Start>type in 'Disk Cleanup' without the quotes and press enter
