Hello As you may not know me i do webdesign and coding with some programming knowledge. I do all languages and i was bored so i made some RANK images to have on forums.

Basically they will be there to see people's ranks better so instead of Member or Admin or Mod it has that + the rank images here they are.

if you are so good, why do you have transparency issues (the white edge pixels on some of them)?

In all 4 corners of this one for example:

And don't think that this guy has made the icons on the buttons either, they are Silk icons.

Really First of all.. i did make those and i can show you more i have made. i am good with stuff unlike you. You know people still have to learn. and really Silk icons. Show me on there where there at cause you can't stfu. i did make them and you can go back to your little n00b life cause i know more than you you little kid

You did not. They are a commonly stolen and uncredited set of icons called Silk.

As you can see, all of the icons that you say you have made yourself, you have actually taken from this set and claimed are in fact your own work, when they are not.

How do you now know i did a basic square pattern in photohop and hot images off google.com for the sides theres no SIGN of these ranks on that page so your wrong i did make these so you need to stfu and learn how to look before you talk

Seriously, it makes zero difference where they came from. It was a good idea for them to be added. Possibly more icons, such as "Z8 Friend" for people who use Z8 frequently/ Have a lot of posts. Another could be "Special" for people that GMs and Mods like, and are specially appointed by a GM or Mod.

Nah thats over doing it. I could get my VIP Super VIP Ultimate VIP For Donators or Top ZP Buyers or something, Maybe top poster of the month. But atm i need to work my way up the Ladder become Technical Support Helper and get admin control panel and get these forums to be sweet

I did look, seems you didn't.

Your administrator one uses the "award_star_add" icon from on this map.

Your member one uses the "user" icon from on this map.

Your Ex-Staff one uses the "award_star_gold_2" silk icon from this map.

You stole the "cancel" icon from the silk icon set for your Banned button.

Your moderator button uses the same icon from the silk icon set that you used for your ex-staff button, "award_star_gold_2", which like all the others, you can see onthis map of the silk icons.

Still want to say that you made all of these icons yourself? I have no problem with people using that guy's icons, his license encourages use, I just get ****ed at seeing work plagiarized

My Mod sense is tingling! I feel some flaming about to happen.

To note: we love suggestions and encourage bringing up ideas on how to spruce up the forums. Were still ironing out the bugs, but when we have the fort down and running we will be looking for new ways to do things.

As for moderator positions, applying can only be done when the GM's open up moderator applications. Specific positions aside from a general global moderator don't exist at the moment, and i don't know if they will in the future.

Otherwise, any other comments on this thread aside from commenting on the content (aka the images), and weather you like them or not, will be frowned upon

Thank him for trying to make the community a better place. Also a suggestion would be, try and make the icons black, and orange to fit in with the forum theme. (the colors of it)

Roph owned you, just drop it, hardly anyone is going to see this thread so it's not a big deal. As for ripping those images, that's pretty low...

Your icons just look like some edited silk icons, slapped on a gradient, with text thrown in, I highly doubt that Z8 needs help making icons/buttons, it's not hard.

In fact, should you ever decide to redeem yourself by making original ranks, here's how you would do that.

****(Tip: Make all graphics/pictures 3 times the size you want them to be when complete, then shrink them to the correct size when you are finished designing)****

1) Make your background, this can be as simple as a gradient with a frame thrown around it.

2) Design your icon (if you want one) this is pretty basic, all you really have to do is draw a shape.

3) Add text (if necessary), try to avoid elaborate fonts, stick with a simple, nice looking font, like Palatino. Every time you use a cursive font, you risk ruining your icon, it's best to not use it at all, but if you must, remember that it must be legible.

These icons look very nice. We do have a graphics team here at z8 and they are working on updating all the graphics. They've done a nice job in the past and continue to do amazing work for the site and now the forums.

I'll be sure to point them to this thread when it comes time to make these types of icons for inspiration and direction. Unfortunately policy and such prevents us from accepting user-made images for direct use on our site (for obvious legal reasons). However I definitely thank you for your time and efforts to help us make the boards even better.
