Has some MoD remove the article?

I think it is gone.
Anyway, I think lots of people said the hacker situation is unbearable any more, which makes the game unplayable.
I have not played for 3 days, but I know how bad the situation could be.
In fact, I played warrock last night. I have not found hackers, but there is only very limited number of rooms available.
I mention this fact is not because I am trying to suggest everyone to play warrock now. I mention this because I have experienced all the stages that warrock gave me lots of fun, hacker found, more hacker found, and finally I feel the game unplayable any more. So even they have clean the game and now it has less hackers, the damage is done and it can not be reversed. Warrock has lost popularity.
So lots of MoD don't like some fact? When player keeps posting that they feels the game not playable, they really feel so and they want z8 do something about it, these are a group of player that want the game better, otherwise, they can abandon cf, like how the warrock is abandoned.
However, MoD don't like this, and the post has to be removed to make the community looks like a happy community. It really makes you looks like this:
Also, I need technical help: how to make this image into my signature? -

We cannot have pics in our sigs as they feel we cant be trusted with them.
They are doing something about it and the hack threads are not helping. (not hurting except that no body can keep them clean -

If the thread is no longer accessible, its usually for a reason. Please respect that.
I can imagine one or two post is not proper, but the whole thread, as much as read, is nothing but telling their feeling.
And I know a forumer can be banned for breaking the rule, and I know the MoD can edit the post. If only one or two post are breaking the rule, ban poster and edit it.
I found there are even some post which apparently insulting the MoD was only closed instead of being deleted, so I am wondering how could a more serious problem happens in the thread to cause all of them being removed. -

The post about the hacker is an indicator for me if I should play the game recently.
It could be an indicator for MoD to know how long their patch works.
It could be a sign if they need to consider new approach for the problem?
Yes I know the hack threads are not helping, because even some thread really have discussion about solution, MoD never take part in. It is a sign the officials would not support any discussion.
Instead, if you look around, MoD like to gather information about what ribbon the community want, create new ribbon that cause more trouble.
And do you think the showoff thread helps in the forum? Do you think the post of "I am back" helps? We can tolerate them, but we can not tolerate hack thread.
So you might say, we all know the situation for a long time, but once it is not solved, why couldn't we discuss it? Why you guys never take part in the discuss of several good ideas? -

You are poorly misinformed if you think all we seem to partake in is ribbons. We are working on getting these hacks you despise so much removed.
But before you question our tasks, let me ask you something. Would you enjoy seeing constant news being shown in every media of wars, famine, diseases, murders, and more, and see that ever single day? Or would you want it removed because it has a negative impact on your emotions? Essentially that is what the hack threads are in crossfire, we limit such so that the environment is happier and appealing. It doesn't mean we are ignoring them. -
RedSplatter wrote: »I've personally always hated warrock, I just despise it's gameplay, the graphics vary a LOT depending on the map... All sorts of things I just don't like about it.
I am not talking about how good is the game. I am talking about a fact.
If you want to see how popular was warrock, check the number of total download in download.com.
If you want to see how popular is warrock, join the game and count the number of room.
If you want to know how it turns out like this, listen to me. It was hackers, not the game play. Lots of players played with hackers for like several months before they switch to other games. And in warrock, hacker is much easier to tell, they fly, they have lots of nades, rockets.
My points is, look at other games, you will see how a game can be ruined by hackers in 1 years' time.
Another fact, I like warrock. It has bigger map, the sniper need not only the fast reflects (in fact, the fast reflects seems less important). If you want hit a running target, you have adjust your aim. Lots of time you have to know your guns, and do right estimation to make a head shot.
In warrock, they can roll, drive..... There are 5 characters, and it allows 36 players to play in one map. I would say it is just a different kind of game, but it is quite unique in f2p games. -

Yes, I would see that news because it happens. That is what news is for, right? You can not hide things to create a illusion of happy world.
I might get too tough to you guys. I know you have to work hard to get rid of hackers. But I have posted in several thread about this issue. It is not how hard you work, it is the result matters. Right? What I have suggested is the way you works. No MoD has ever take part in the discussion on kick hacks, ban hacks, and so on. And many would not talk about hacks, I have heard:"it is x-trap's job to get rid of hacks", "hacks is always there, no need to talk about it". And I heard lots of complain that the hacker reported is still playing, (unfortunately, I have same experience).
So let's see what impression you guys make to the community:
You don't like talking about hackers
You don't like other talking about hackers
You don't want to discuss about hackers
You don't even ban hackers
So based on the fact I give, can you lead to other conclusion?
Even adult and matures would know the above cannot be true, so do kids? I have met a clan Finest, 2 out of 3 of their players were glitching into the wall and killing others. When questioned, they expressed that 1. glitch will NOT cause a ban; 2. Z8 would not care about this kind of things.
Now lets talking about how hard you works.
We have seen more and more hackers after patch, right? You should work harder to have the banning speed faster than the increase of hackers. But can you? I have not submit report for a month now, and I know you guys should have piles of it for review. Yes, you are hard working, but just can not solve the problem.
So it is the way you works.
Solution?
1. Don't tell us it is x-trap's job to stop hackers.
2. Do something to encourage community to kick hackers, to report hackers CORRECTLY. --- you remember how the military intelligence ribbon works? Lead it in a right way, create a ribbon for correctly reporting/kicking hackers.
3. Improve autoban or create a separate detection code for replay.
4. Read the suggestion, give comment, and polish some good idea, make them available in next patch.
Guide line:
A. Change the impression you made, tell the community you want to handle it.
B. Turn the community on to fight hacking together with you.
C. Provide what needed to allow the community to help. -

Again, you are poorly informed of any of the information withheld. The times we do talk about it, its pointless, what does talking about hacks lead to? More complaints? Oh yeah, thats a positive thing. Plus, there's so many its just a broken record with you people. I don't have to tell you how many people are sick of the threads being spammed. I don't need to be a MOD to do that. Do you honestly think people want to come from the game and chill on the forums to only be reminded by the people who can't read rules to remind them about that?
And a major point you definitely got wrong;
WE DO BAN HACKERS
Get that through that thick skull of yours. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean its not happening.
Secondly, Glitching is a bannable offense regardless whatever rule-breaking player says, just to justify their actions.
And guess what, Xtrap is the one that patches to block the hacks. We are merely the ones to ban and moderate those who slip past such defenses.
Oh, and we all know how well the Military Intelligence ribbon went, your idea is SOOOO smart! We should hire you! Of course there wouldn't be TONS of false reports just to get a ribbon for reporting. Smart thinking! /Scarcasm
As for your #4, do we MODs look like developers to you? If you honestly think we touch the autoban, your again, misinformed. Thats a DEV issue.
And heres my #5. My suggestion to you, stop assuming what you don't know unless you have FACTS to back up both cases. As you lack alot. -

Believe me when i tell you that i totally agree with most of the factors mentioned above.
I was also a WR player and yes i also quited due to the lack of concern from the other company for this problem. IMO Hackers are to Games, like cancer is to people.
Although there has been an increasing number of hackers in the game, it is also true that you cant stop to notice that after a couple of days they're gone. I dont know if its Z8 or x-trap, all i know is that for one of the most f2p games played, there are really few hackers. You will never be able to find a game that is hack free, that i can garantee u, since ive played over 10 FPS over the years.
I can only congrat z8 or x-trap for a job that seems to be paying off, on at least containing the number of hackers in this game.
U said and i quote "allow the community to help", but thats the same community that hacks, thats the same community that continues to complain ingame everytime theres a good player in a room, its the same community that does NOT click F11 to kick hackers out of the rooms =/
Theres always space for improvement, and i deeply believe that z8 will continue the good work and wont fall in the same miskates that other game owners fell.
As for the coment removal, although i dont fully support it, it is understandable as if there was no control in this forum regarding this topic, there would be a lot of flamming. Dont u think? -

Thanks for the information, but I think have more people to discuss one thing will result in better solution most of the time.
And if I am not wrong, it is you who said "It is x-trap's job to stop hack".
BTW, I am talking about the meaning of deleting a certain post, the content of that post is just a non-important fact. So I am not sure this is against rule, you can define a new rule to prevent it.[MOD]Kelathe wrote: »Again, you are poorly informed of any of the information withheld. You might go through the information too fast to grasp the point. Most of the time, a complain is with some suggestion. Suggestion is pointless? Right, that will support my impression on you.
To stop the spamming of hack thread, it is easy, just take measure to stop hacks. I DID POST A THANKFUL THREAD AFTER THE PATCH. So did lots of others. So the point is, when there are lots of complain about 1 thing, it means it happens, and it means you have to stop it by solving it, not to stop people from posting.
Do you honestly think people want to come from the game and chill on the forums to only be reminded by the people who can't read rules to remind them about that?
Oh, you are right, so when there are too many hackers in the game, just bear it, it is life. Right? You know how many people will leave this game if you keeps doing so?
And where do you think people should be to post their complain? In the website review all the f2p fps. You can go to some to watch the review of the warrock, it was pretty good, but how players comment it now? Yes, if you want the forum to be clean, you can push them to post their complain there.
Forum is a place of fans to express their feeling, it could be bad, but it is better to give fans a place to express things.[MOD]Kelathe wrote: »And a major point you definitely got wrong;

I know and we know. And I also know there are more hackers joining the game every day, that is why we see more hackers every day.
If you ban more than they joined, we should have less complain, right?[MOD]Kelathe wrote: »Get that through that thick skull of yours. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean its not happening.
Till now, none of your words can have me take off my helmet.[MOD]Kelathe wrote: »Secondly, Glitching is a bannable offense regardless whatever rule-breaking player says, just to justify their actions.
So they should be banned? Then why they act like they don't know the rule. Where did you put your rules? Inside your office?
I have some comments on question the educational effect of this game, it seems you have no time to read it. I can rephrase it here shortly, z8 should clarify what is good, what is not, and leads the kids to follow the clarified rule.[MOD]Kelathe wrote: »And guess what, Xtrap is the one that patches to block the hacks. Another proof you seldom read meaningful comments. I have mentioned this to others long ago. It is good thing you think I want mention the MI ribbon is a good idea. But you missed my point.
There are two things you should realize from the ribbon system.
1. It can turn the community on to do things ---- just watch how many spam in the forum, you should know the power of ribbon.
2. You should create a correct ribbon, it should not be another MI ribbon (do you think it is meanful?), it should lead the community to do something helpful and correctly ---- report/kick more hackers more precisely.
And an end note, am I the one who implemented the MI ribbon? If it turns out to be a failure and you laughed me because I mentioned MI ribbon, then why don't you vote no to implement it.[MOD]Kelathe wrote: »As for your #4, do we MODs look like developers to you? I don't know, it is so hard to analysis a DEV issue for me.[MOD]Kelathe wrote: »And heres my #5. My suggestion to you, stop assuming what you don't know unless you have FACTS to back up both cases. As you lack alot.
So many things are unknown, so I have to guess, right, based on the reaction from MoDs, I can reach my impression. Unfortunately, many expressed the same impression, if you read through threads.
And more funny, I am not really one of them, if you can stop the rage and read the post carefully, you will understand what I want to say. And you can not blame people to reach a conclusion based on what they see. I just did a logical demo to you, how this would happen.
Let me found something shinny in your response. In fact, I feel that only Saiden had some words meaningful, when compared to your guys. -

It seems I have played more fps than you. And yes, I stay with CF because at the beginning it is promising, when lots of other early fun are ruined up. So I just wish the game stay longer.
I am not a zp players, because I would not like the idea to take advantage with zp equipment. I am free of them, so there is totally no advantage. But if they take the idea to start hacker free vip server, I would buy the vip card.
I doubt they want to do that.U said and i quote "allow the community to help", but thats the same community that hacks, thats the same community that continues to complain ingame everytime theres a good player in a room, its the same community that does NOT click F11 to kick hackers out of the rooms =/

If the community is mature, it is dependable. In this community with lots of kids, they should direct them to do the right thing, and when directed correctly, they will be happy to do that. Even the military intelligence ribbon is a failure, we can see how the community can be turned on. It is a good sign, when no one response to them, they could depend on no one.
I also don't like the post with no new information. But to remove them to make it looks better is another thing.
I would say, we have lots of good suggestions in the forum, there are no flaming, even has some, it is still worth thinking. But we should realize a fact no GM, MoD response such thread. And based on the fact no rules against hackers are explicitly posted constantly, hack thread is titled as qq and closed, kids will be impressed that z8 would not care about this. that is not a hard logic.
Currently, I can only flame with with useless show off thread, some no meaning ribbon suggestion, and MoD's constantly forbid hack thread, no matter what their purpose is. -

Ghost, quite frankly i think u didnt quite understand what i said. If you've played so many fps like i did, you'll see that none of them was hack free. FFS man just watch the example of games such as mw2 and BO and moh. They all have private servers, and none of them is "clean".
I'm not trying to discourage u, but if want a hack free FPS, i would suggest u changing to a console, because in PC there will always be hackers, and people trying to find cracks in the games code to create hack engines mate =/ -
lots of text truncated.
You seem to fail to grasp that, I, like you am a typical crossfire player. I do not sit in some fancy office in the Z8 building while I speak to you, like I don't know what I'm talking about. I've been in this game during the 'dark ages'. This current hack thing? Its NOTHING compared to what it used to be. And yet, Crossfire still prevailed on top. There's plenty of games that have hacks and people still play them. I doubt that was WR's only factor. Lemme give you a few examples:
World of Warcraft; hacked constantly, billions of people still play it though. Oh, and if you post any sort of hack related thread, your just banned from the forums. No ifs, ands, or butts. I'm tempted to adopt their method.
Call of Duty: riddled with hacks, yet people still pay and play the game. And as far as I can tell is still popular.
Tons of others that are involved with such as well.
"If you ban more than they joined, we should have less complain, right?"
I love this comment, totally priceless. Lets see you keep your eyes open 24/7 on volunteer and see how long you last.
Also, the rules are clarified. But i suppose the majority of them, just like you, didn't read them upon signing up, or even bother to even LOOK for them. They are there.
We only ask that hack reports be submitted through the web form, how hard is that to inform us of hackers? Its simple. Thats all you need to do.
As for your forum thing, yes, I do in fact come to these forums to relax and commute, not listen to a bunch of kids spamming the same thread over and over. I don't need that kind of ****. I get enough of that through daily life thank you.
I'd respond to more, but your poor grammar and english is giving me a terrible headache to not pull my hair out. Which, I can probably guess is because english isn't your main language, but its tiring all the same. -

Yeah, sorry, I missed this one. The rule is hanging in your room, not your office.
But please take the whole image, have you guys post your rule that often to make kids know it. Like, when entering the game I saw Iron Man month, no I don't care. I want to see something about your rule in some easy to read please. Once you don't do that, kids will think you don't have rule of that. Remember, they still need you to rephrase the rule, because they don't have fix them in the mind.[MOD]Kelathe wrote: »I've been in this game during the 'dark ages'. This current hack thing? Your point is, we should learn from it? WoW and CoD are much more popular and they have the enough fan base to alleviate the percentage of hacker. And they have enough that can be ruined up by certain amount. How about crossfire. It is now at the about the same level of popularity when warrock was popular (have about same number of rooms). Warrock lost that in exactly 1 year.[MOD]Kelathe wrote: »"If you ban more than they joined, we should have less complain, right?"

Funny right? Keep laughing. I know you have to keep your eyes open 24/7 to review replay, and that is my point even you work hard, the result is not good. So just laugh on it.
We have lots of posts in the forum on how to improve it. Read them. Sorry, we are talking about two different set of rules, otherwise, it would be ridiculous. Do you have any reason to post the rules about hacker, glitcher ban in the forum to let the hacker to read it in forum?[MOD]Kelathe wrote: »We only ask that hack reports be submitted through the web form, how hard is that to inform us of hackers? I did. I also reviewed before I submit, so don't suppose I do not. I know they should get banned.
But one day I met one guy I reported half a year ago, (at that time, we can not use megaupload.com to host our file), I know your guys might be too busy with reports.
So I think about the problem. There are too many false report, and there too many report on same guy. So there are lots of solution to improve. I did post several of mines, I know you might never read them.
And even though I make joke on you guys might really review it by replay it, and also suggested to scan it by some code to pick the definitely hacking case, I still doubt that you guys already have that, maybe in autoban. But your previous argument exposed that you guys have no other tools. So I would keep laughing.[MOD]Kelathe wrote: »As for your forum thing, yes, I do in fact come to these forums to relax and commute, not listen to a bunch of kids spamming the same thread over and over. Yes, again, grammar matters, instead of hacks. This explains why you would keep always missing the point. And yes, no more discussion with you, because you would not understand. -
Ghost, quite frankly i think u didnt quite understand what i said. If you've played so many fps like i did, you'll see that none of them was hack free. FFS man just watch the example of games such as mw2 and BO and moh. They all have private servers, and none of them is "clean".
I'm not trying to discourage u, but if want a hack free FPS, i would suggest u changing to a console, because in PC there will always be hackers, and people trying to find cracks in the games code to create hack engines mate =/
If you played only 10 fps titles, then I would won in the number of fps played. Not count demo.
I know there are always hackers around. I am just annoyed by MoD's attitude on it. -
Suppose it is google translated, either read to get the point, or just skip it.
Why go on CF, may I ask, young PT? ujealous of our overdeveloped technology while you live in scrotty, scrawny, decrepit favelas? Totally stereotypical, may I say. -

So let's see what impression you guys make to the community:
You don't like talking about hackers
You don't like other talking about hackers
You don't want to discuss about hackers
You don't even ban hackers
1: We talk about hackers almost every day. We post about the hacking situation almost every day. We are not obligated nor have the time to tell you (the public) about every little nuance that happens in our quest to slow down hacking.
It is not our fault you do not read our posts. We are not obligated to make a new one every 10 minutes because now is the time you decided to read the forums.
2. There is no point in talking about hackers. More to the point, there is no point in talking about hackers every 5 minutes by making a new thread on the subject.
If you want to talk about hackers, why did you feel the need to create a new thread, even though the one you were "reading" was removed. There are still plenty of places to talk about hackers that don't involve: "Hey look at me, I have my hand up, I should be heard cause I want to rip z8games and hate the hacking situation".
3. These are starting to become redundant. And boring. And this is exactly why these threads get removed. They say nothing new. We are well aware of the situation. In 4 or 5 questions, you've managed to say the exact same thing over and over again.
It is not our fault that the people of this community seem to have extreme ADD and can't understand the ridiculousness of what they keep posting. We are cleaning these threads for the sake of the boards, not because we're dead set against you posting something about hacking. Just post it all in one of the many threads and be done with it. Keep the discussion intelligent instead of "omg z8 doesn't ban hackers and this is the 5th time today I need to say that" and the thread won't be removed.
4. Players like you won't ever have signatures. For the exact reason you posted that ridiculous image.
5. We ban hackers every day. In the hundreds if not thousands. We've stated this a million times on the boards. Again, it is not our fault that the moment you wanted to come to these forums there wasn't an immediate pop up window that says "Z8Games Has Read 150 reports today and issued bans for all players". Something like that is never going to happen.
