"File Has Been Changed Or Forged" Error!!!
Okay To Start Off I Have Reinstalled the game so many times using all the mirrors from 1-4 that my Intanet usage bill is gonna be 1,000,000,000,000 DOLLARS!
I Start CF, Gameguard comes up as normal, the game starts loading, then about 1 min into the loading the screen goes black then comes up with this error that says "File Has Been ChangedOr Forged, CF Will Shut Down By Force!"
Ive never Had that error since da haloween Patch And I Havent yet seen the awsome haloween stuff on CF now or played the new halloween map!
HELP!!!!!!!!!
Oh Yeah I also had a virus on my comp but i deleted it with AVAST! You Think it could still be causing dis problem?

Actually. Dont worry about cleaning your disk at all. What you need to do, to fix this problem, is reformat your PC. Also known as System Recovery in Vista. It uninstalls and reinstalls Windows. With Vista you dont need a disk to do this, if XP, I dont know.
You will lose all your files, but if you really wanna play, then do this. Though for files, such as pictures that you want to keep, I suggest you save them to a FlashDrive.
This is the only solution that will work 100% for both "File forged" and "Version.ini" errors. -

wow yea thats like doing 5000 steps to go one foot since all the problem is that after patch there is a residual from prior to the patch, and yea the disk clean does work since i had to do it after the last 4 patches
so 1800 just goto your control panel, then goto administrative and look for maintenance then look for disk clean up. and check everything to be cleaned up, and boom when it is done you should be back up and running -

My method is the only current solution to the File Forged and the Version.ini errors. It will fix your computer and let you be able to play again 100% after it is complete.

Thta is the only method it means he has a virus it happened to my cousin. -

sorry guy the problem is in the inernet cache so no need to erase 2million things to find the one thing that is wrong
ok wait i just noticed something u didnt reformat your PC you are simply doing a system restore from a latter point which in essense you are doing the same thing im doing but the long way byjust sending it back to before the patch
