Greetings, I just got done recently trying to amplify ghost breath and footsteps well lowering gunfire. I find Realtek HD Audio Manager works well. Here's a screenshot of the settings I find work best so far.

wow! thanks Vatav, I was going to remove some of the sounds from the game to make it easier to hear but this makes better sense, then removing the sound clips for "Fire in the hole" and gun fire. -
Took alot of trial and error. I've seen other players suggest that the ghost breath is in the lower hertz range (30-125) but found its closer too 500. increasing the bass only made the ghost harder to hear if not silent and the guns sound more like thunder.
