Group to "patch" the hackers

This may be new this may be old...not sure.

Im a beginner when it comes to programming, code, etc. I wouldnt mind helping/doing what I can to stop these hackers.

Errr...correction. Script Kiddies. If you know the difference awesome if not then here it is. Script kiddie just double clicks and runs the program. Has no or little knowledge of how to actually write the program/bot/etc. of whatever is being run.

Hackers/programmers/etc. something of significance and not just double c******s can actually write pieces of the program or the whole program. They know what they are doing.

But for the most part if you didnt know, you have one to five people that actually write the programs and then they just give them to the public, except a few vip hacks, and watch it do it's thing.

Then all the pos's come out saying o o o pick me pick me..."I suck at Crossfire let me get a hack and then I can be a hacker" whoohooo

Im straying off of subject.

Point is that they have people that make the code for the programs that these lil kids use.

Why not try to put together a small group in their spare time to find these hacks and find a way to patch them.

Yes easier said then done. Im not saying its going to be done over night but just a thought.

ANd if you are one of those i hack it because i got bored and ur soooo good at doing what you do...go find a job doing it. Go hack some other game. Move on.

Yes it makes me mad when 50% of games I go into, mostly MM and TD have 2-3 one shot script kiddies.

Script kiddies grow up.

  • Yes I know what they are for...im just saying for a grp of people to get together in their free time when a "hack" cant be patched within a reasonable time. Yes the reasonable time is relative to the person Im just saying.

    Just trying to help get the numbers down on the scripties. I know we can never get rid of them. But I just got done playing a lil bit and its even worse than last time. And that was only a few hrs ago.

    Just trying to do my part.
  • The idea of the community participating is certainly interesting, the problem is, how are you going to "patch" the hacks (and distribute the patches)?
  • The fact, is that the core game needs reconstruction.It should be like the World of Warcraft mechanism when we are talking about hacks.Lets say i am getting in game with 1 shot kill and MP5.The game has already the variables of the weapon ,and the variables of the target(body spot, armour,hp).So when that variables are violated it should cause autoban or at least autoblock + death, like when someone glitches out of map.Generally When a game variable is violated the game should autoblock the user.And i am sure that it is possible to recognize it.It is like WoW anti-hacking works.If u log with a speedhack, when u move for first time,your speed is coming out of a function like "Base-speed+%speed(from talents)+%speed (from buffs).When the player speed is different than the result of this function he get instantly banned.
    I am sure Z8 ppl can understand my thoughts, and they can make it.
  • Z8 people don't develop the game. The game is developed by SmileGate afaik.
    The problem is simply that server-side anti hack costs in performance as well as network lag.
    Hence, we don't have effective anti hack on the server side.

    They constantly patches. But they might have support someone to constantly create new hacks. Who knows, if they totally make the hack impossible, their business will be ended.

    But the reason that z8 would avoid talking about hacking is so hard to imagine. If something ruined by hacking, it is their business.

    I have thought of this, and think the system can be put on client side.

    It is like this:

    Once a player want to start a vote kick, his local temp replay will be test by the local hack check (go through wall, underground, ......). If the system says it against its rule, or something ambiguity for it to make a decision, the vote can be raised and wait for other players to make a decision. Now the other players, if not vote, will run their local test code for the temp replay and use it as vote, unless it is ambiguous.

    If a kick is passed and more than 1 local user local check thinks it is against rule, a report will be created, and get the player auto banned for 7 days.

    Rules:

    1. coordinate of player under ground, in box, go through wall
    2. player is direction constantly follow target when target unseen.
    3. player's kill made damage that is impossible with the weapon.
    4. player the crossfire make too fast aiming at multiple target.

    And add a soft button that must be pressed before respawn, while keep chatting can keep you from being kicked. It is just the simplest way to against hacker, when no one want to vote kick the hacker.

    In Fact everything local sided can be hacked easylly.

  • Vote system should not count people who dont vote as NO. Tired of a real hacker not being kicked for it. Vote yes or no, the kick gets based on the people who voted. The people who didn't vote, it would count like they aren't there. (ex: full 8v8, vote comes up, 5 people vote, 4 yes 1 no, person gets kicked.)

  • Thats a stupid idea what if its not a hacker just pro they get auto bann everyone need a fair check. Yes i know theres alot of hacker which Z8 needs to fix fast first day they patch it I already find hacker in alot of rooms. Tell me thats not a fail -.-
